i found that putting shadows to low boosted my fps in the city well enough to where it’s actually livable. it’s still pretty low but i can actually move around without getting a headache
I liked the balance between visual quality and performance with shadows at 'high', but you bring up a good point that I should've mentioned in the video. Shadow quality is a huge resource hog and is one of the first settings one should scale back to improve performance.
I refunded a game I held immense hype for. I'm absolutely disgusted with the individuals in the AAA gaming scene.
Was it just the performance or other issues that convinced you to refund?
I use the same settings as you do with my 3060ti and get slightly above 70fps in 1440p so I lock it to 60fps.
My Ryzen 7 7800X3D seems to heavily boost my performance compared to friend with better GPUs but weaker CPUs than mine.
Excellent video explaining how best to optimize the game. I have to wonder why Nvidia are bothering with RTX and DLSS when they just make games look worse.
you're right, I played 50 hours of play, the graphics were dull and unclear in 4k, I couldn't understand the problem, I deactivated ray tracing and DLSS, now it's perfect
Such a disastrous optimization is absurd
Thanks ,you really did better !
lol
Wait since the issue is a cpu bottleneck, would updating to a i7-13700k from an i9-7400k help with the stuttering? Cuz i have a spare 13k cpu but i have been too lazy to set up a new board on my pc
Do you mean an i5 7400? Yeah, it should help, but keep in mind that even top of line CPUs are struggling with the game right now. Hopefully, Capcom releases an optimization patch soon.
@@Gillium my bad a i9-7900x is my current processor but i have a newer i7-13700k processor and board, tho since it seems newer processors dont help i may have to leave them in a box for longer, thanks for the response.
I don’t know know why but my game works and I have what I’d consider low mid range (60-80), I’m gonna try some of these tho thanks man!
The game is demanding but not absurdly so. It's just the CPU optimization holding the game back, really.
Peformance is really only bad in town, while I have refunded the game, the combat was 120fps locked for me, they say the NPCs are mining for crypto this is why its cpu heavy 😂😂
i have 2070 super gpu and ryzen 7 3700x cpu on low setting getting 50fps but in city 25 but still kept playing bcz i like the game and i wish if there is a way i can get more fps and more stable
Hopefully Capcom comes up with a way to reduce the load on the CPU.
Is 3070ti considered midrange? My frame rate is somehow playable.
Yeah, I'd say so. It's roughly 20% weaker than the 7800 xt, so you may need to lower some settings. I'd start with shadows.
Yeah turn shadows to medium. You will get like 5 extra frames
Best settings are to have a minimum i9-14900k and 4090.
7800xt MIDRANGE 😭😭😭😭😭😭 im so screwed
Lol, what's your build look like?
@@Gillium rn I have a r5 4500, 2x8gb 4000mhz and a rx580 8gb, I'm aiming for a 6750xt as a upgrade in a couple months.
You'll have to turn down some graphics settings, but the 6750 XT should be fine for this game. Your CPU, on the other hand, is going to struggle.
this video doesnt apply to me because I have a 4070ti
Your card is roughly 14% faster than mine. Using these settings would give you a good base to start tweaking.
Same I used the DLSS3 fix my games been running great everything maxed except shadows on high ...
@@aidanmaguire4740 How's the frame timing though? 🤔
Game is not optimized so these settings that you suggest don't even matter until they fix the issue
I mean, it's playable. Performs decently outside of towns. But, yeah, as I mentioned in the video, best to wait for a performance patch before buying.
I had to refund the game because I could not even get past the intro cutscene without the game lagging its visual with audio. Trying to skip or pause the cutscene causes the game to freeze.
Mind sharing your CPU and GPU?
@@Gillium i7-13700k and rtx 3080 10gb
That's odd. It's definitely not your hardware holding you back.
best setting is the refund button
Haha, don't blame you. Performance can get a little rough.
You just have a potato pc
@@XxXDrummachineXxXjust badly optimized
@@XxXDrummachineXxXOh yeah so all the people with 4090s and top of the line CPUs that can't even launch the game must have potato PCs...
Or the game is unoptimized to shit and your conception was a mistake. I doubt you know what any of these big words mean :)
@@epicninjaz117 I literally have a Radeon 6700 and it runs perfectly fine on high settings.
