Can’t believe the stick Jonjo is receiving in these comments. He’s always been a soft spoken guy who doesn’t care much for the limelight, especially post jockey retirement. I do agree that he should have more winners given some of the talent that’s passed through the stables in recent years, but winning those big races is more difficult than ever
Love johnjo Loved his riding top class Always had a superb attitude and personality, I only wish him and all at jackdaws, many years of sucess and good health.
Fair play to jonjo he always has a good outlook to life.. Jonjo snr was fearless in the sadle very brave the Tony mcoy of his day.. His son seems very sensible and no doubt a top trainer if he chose that career after race riding.. Hopefully they have a good season I'm sure there very capable 👍
Doesn't deserve the stick he's getting but in saying that, this is definitely a big season for Jonjo he'll have to get a few more winners than 20 odd considering the size of the yard and the wonderful facilities he has, Johnnywho hopefully becomes a star!
Hes achieved enough to warrant that set up. Some trainers never win a gold cup or national. What do you want from him? Also JP not sending the best horse to him either.
I have to concur 💯💯💯 with you Ian. He’s some of the best facilities at his disposal. Not a patch on the Duke who trained there previously. “I will be keeping a very close eye on Johnnywho whom I was very impressed with last season and one who in my opinion should take high rank in the Novice Hurdles division this seat
Was a great jockey and a nice guy.however he seems to accept that he won't reach the heights as a trainer.for the facilities he has it has not materialised in winners.bit of an underachiever as a trainer.he also sounds as if he has accepted mediocraty
I really agree that the scale of heights as a trainer may be far reaching but to remember what a jockey he was amongst the greats is all ways in this field he would be remembered since horses hold the facts if anyone could iron out a horse with issues you would expect him to qualify but how disappointed I have to say since beating Tiger Roo his X Country horse has not the expectations I would have liked to see going forward however I love this Gentleman since his claim to fame undiniably a showman every aspect yes SIR
Predictably, this was terrible. You may as well have asked Jonjo for some gardening tips. The interviewer should have got a list of the new intake and asked direct questions about them. Owners continually pump as much money into this yard as Henderson and Nicholls, so why the massive disparity in results? What do they get out of it? It is a shame that McLernon isn't stable jockey. O'Neill Jnr is poor at an obstacle, tactically inept, and shows no signs of improving. Talk about silver spoon. As regards horses, Johnnywho was very impressive on his belated debut, and Mt Fugi Park really looks the part. Hopefully, the trainer doesn't mess up with those two. I note the horse that Johnnywho tonked in his point is in the yard, but still to make his reappearance.
A god awful trainer considering the set up he has. Wouldn’t trust him A yard with any decent animal. JP doesn’t trust him with any of his horses and Ben Haslam does more with less than this imposter.
Really like Jonjo but you do have to say it’s good job JP pays the bills on that place or he’d be back up near Carlisle

Good luck for the season ✅🍀🍀🍀
Interesting!
Bad trainers don’t win a gold cup and a grand national Johnjo knows the time of day

Good old Jonjo very loyal to his landlord and owners never gives anything away to media
JP owns the yard and Johnjo pays rent.
More a tour of the inside of Jonjo's car
Donkey
When AP called it a day, Jonjo seemed to drop off almost on purpose.
For the set up and amount of horses he's never achieved as a trainer

He sounds depressed. I would be with his strike rate.
Great fella.
But was it wise to interview a man who talks with his hands whilst he's driving

@@joeypower6220Gold Cup and Grand National. I wish I was that mediocre 😄 🤣
Are you sure it's a horse stable, more like a children's donkey farm!
