    That would be great if the django e-commerce + Tailwind + htmx series was merged with wagtail CMS for content management and digital ocean deploy ;)

    Just thought I would ask, If I have conda installed on my comp do I still need to use virtual environments for my projects with Python or Django or even wagtail ? Thanks

      Hey, I have never tried Conda. But when i google it, it looks like Conda is a type of virtual environment, so I guess you can use it yes :-)

    Very nice tutorial Thank you!
    I'd very much like to watch more informative tutorials on Wagtail. Specifically, if you can go deeper into how to use the StreamField, and also how to integrate Wagtail with CSS frameworks like Bulma or Tailwind.

    Thanks for your great project and hard work. Any chance of making expenses/budget tracker please? ideally as a service to your e-commerce site.

      I will add the idea to my list of ideas. Django allauth has been there for a while, I just haven't had any time yet ;-)

    Thanks for this video... But I keep wondering what exactly is the problem Wagtail solves? What does it bring to the table? Is it better than the ordinary way of building sites with Django?

    • @CodeWithStein
      @CodeWithStein  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey :-D
      It provides you with a CMS. So it makes it easier to work with content (pages, blog posts, images, documents, etc).
      Django doesn't have this built it. Django comes with a simple admin interface, but it's not ideal to work with when you have a lot of content, want rich text editors, page builders and similar ;-)

    • @CodeWithStein
      @CodeWithStein  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, you can build almost anything with it :-D

    • @Admin-lp4gu
      @Admin-lp4gu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im definitely gonna try it out. I love the CMS interface. Looks nothing like Django admin site. I will try to implement tailwind and flowbite on it.
      Your Channel stands out sir🫡
      No one’s dedicated to python, Django and backend like you. I have learnt a bunch from here

    From what I understood from this tutorial is copy pastes takes 20 mins. This could have easily be done under 2 mins. What a shame!

    • @CodeWithStein
      @CodeWithStein  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, you can copy and paste everything even faster. But I need some time to explain and similar as well ☺️
