One (or two?) members of Big Mama was Hyunsik and Changsub's professor in Howon University! It's probably the most prestige university for music in South Korea, so there's no surprise they sound similar to them. These two dudes got into the same school at the same time, in early admission with 5/3000 rate, only 2 of those 5 were males - Changsub and Hyunsik! Sorry for bragging, I just am so amazed by this fact! Considering Eunkwang is technically an even better vocalist, therefor is the main vocal! (But he's said himself that they have 4 main vocals, cause really they're all too good!). BTW, the vocal line did a legendary cover of Big Mama - Woman, oh them vocals!! All of them sang low and high notes in the harmonies, EPICCC! I watched them live in Paris this year… it wasn’t their concert, it was a festival and so they sang 5-6 songs only, including I’ll be your man. You have no idea how powerful that song is live, in an arena! I had shivers down my body!

Every member has a distinct and important contribution to the group, which makes their music so colorful yet cohesive. They're also a bunch of chaotic comedians, I bet you'll love their personalities! Just watching this video in July 2024, I'm your subscriber for BTS reactions, but starting a vacation so took the time to watch this after seeing your TH-cam short teaser where you tear off the headphones. "Okay, that might be some pretty sweet music! I oughta go check it out!"---HOLY MOLY--WOW--MAN OH MAN!!! They are tremendous--harmonies, personality, technical skill, passion. Think I'm gonna have to quit my job to explore all the good music there is in the world. Thank you, Pat, for introducing me to BTOB!
I'm not a Melody, but I've been listening to K-pop since 2010 and during that period, I've heard a lot of BtoB's music. They are very nostaglic to me and their music is needed in the industry especially when there is a lot of harder hitting groups and it's what the newer generations seem to like. If the group ever disbands, it'll be a big loss.
Thanks for reacting to BTOB. I heard two of the members, Hyunsik and Changsub, were the students of one of Big Mama members. Maybe that's why you can see the similar style. And for the lyrics that Peniel forgot, that was actually part of an ex-member. It was a lost though, he was such a charismatic rapper, too. But in any case, Peniel did a good job on covering his part.
@@justpat2316 yeah as much as I love btob right now and they surely is still very much as impactful as how they were before. But Ilhoon surely is a very big lost even tho Minhyuk and Peniel are also really really great rappers. Those 3 rappers just has such different tones to them that whenever they're together they make such powerful performances. Peniel with bright, chill type of rapping, Minhyuk the aggressive one while Ilhoon is known for his lazy rap style (it's not a bad thing btw, it's just the way fans describe his melodic type of rapping.) But despite them having these styles that they're known for. All three can do everything. Just like here in this video alone, Minhyuk was doing the lazy type of rapping then later on he was rapping so fast. Same goes to Peniel, although he forgot the lyrics for 2nd confession because it wasn't his part, also it was a really old song, he killed it later on with I'll be your man when he covered Ilhoon's fast rapping. While Ilhoon may be known for his lazy rap style. He's can also rap very very fast, that man just don't breath. He has also always been included to the top 10 best idol rappers during the 3rd gen. Minhyuk was also an underground rapper before debut under the name of Huta. And not to mention, all the 3 rappers can sing like they're lead vocalists. Minhyuk especially or maybe Ilhoon too if trained more vocally, they could be main vocals if they're seriously in a different group. Same goes to the vocal line, all of them can rap really well especially Hyunsik and Sungjae. That's why people who know them (even non fans but just people who knows them) acknowledges them as a group of 7vocals and 7 rappers. That's how good they are.
when you said changsub felt those lyrics, i couldn't agree more! he's also a musical actor with ten different musicals under his belt, and in my opinion you can see the theater in his movements and gestures. it elevates the song and truly communicates feeling.

I'm afraid you might have gotten sick after watching their Killing Voice performance.😁 BTOB (pronounced as bee-to-bee) BORN TO BEAT is an 11 yr old self-composing & producing group that's known for their healing songs and amazing live vocals. Initially a 7-member group..it has 4 power vocals & 3 rappers/sub vocals..but all 7 could sing, rap & play instruments. Unfortunately, the main rapper had to leave the group in 2020 so they were only 6 now. And that's partially the reason why the 6th guy, extreme right..the rapper, forgot some of the lines coz it as an old song (2013) and the part he was rapping was that of the member who's not with them anymore. Also, it's a good thing that they left that mistake as is and didn't edit it out. BTOB is sincere in everything they say & do..never the type to project that perfection often seen among kpop idols..they wanted to be seen as they are..goofballs with mistakes and just like everybody else. That's why aside from their good looks, great vocals & beautiful songs, they have great personalities..funny & humble guys who just love entertaining people with their music. Their motto: We don't sell albums, we sell emotions..is so true. Stanning them would be so right & you won't regret it. 1st guy is Minhyuk, rapper & vocalist & also composer/producer. 2nd guy is Sungjae, the actor & maknae, lead vocals. 3rd is Eunkwang, oldest & leader, also an executive director, main vocals & musical actor. He already won 4x in Immortal Songs & one of the best vocalists in kpop. 4th guy is Hyunsik, power belter, lead vocals & composed/produced most of their songs. 5th is Changsub, the one with a heavenly voice, also a musical actor and now a CEO of an artist training company. He has lots of solo songs & solo albums..they all do. Last is Peniel, rapper, Korean American & also a podcast host..his voice & style adds a diff flavor to their songs. Individually, they are good artists but together they are perfect. They have beautiful songs and music and is also bcoz they have a wonderful friendship/brotherhood. They promised to remain this way for a loooong time. Also, they love their fandom a lot (Melody) and Melody loves them too. They believe that every beat needs a melody to make a song. All their songs are good..their albums are great. The one song you liked is their IT'S OKAY and very famous for its healing message. Check out the live stages of this, the mv and their dance version..so good. For recommendation, you could check out their BROTHER ACT Album, BE TOGETHER Album and their new one, WIND AND WISH Album..all have diff colors/genre that you might like. Though you could check out all..they have many albums and songs and all are good and worth listening to. I am a Melody (the name of their fandom)~ They are so great, right???? They are famous for their live singing. There are a few singing competitions and performances that you might find interesting if you love good singing! TMI two of the members changsub and hyunsik are from Howon University. They entered the university with an competition rate of 3000:5 among those 5 students only two are male and both of them are now BTOB members.
BTOB was one of the first groups that I found in K-POP from their OST work on various dramas. Their whole vibe is just so different from other groups. I came for the powerhouse vocals, fell in love with the goofy and outrageous, but they still love to remind us that they can SING. I now have a 190 song BTOB playlist full of all their albums, OSTs, and solo work - it is my healing playlist! I’m so jealous that you are getting to know them for the first time, it’s quite the journey! Have fun!!!
16:39 I agree...early generations truly feel the music. I have a theory...most of them had to fight to get into the industry as their parents were against it (think Super junior Kyuhyun, Bigbang Daesung or even BTOB's Hyunsik)...so it means that most of them got into it due to passion...nowadays its a lucrative business and as such, it does not always attract people who truly love/live music.

Just watching this video in July 2024, I'm your subscriber for BTS reactions, but starting a vacation so took the time to watch this after seeing your TH-cam short teaser where you tear off the headphones. "Okay, that might be some pretty sweet music! I oughta go check it out!"---HOLY MOLY--WOW--MAN OH MAN!!! They are tremendous--harmonies, personality, technical skill, passion. Think I'm gonna have to quit my job to explore all the good music there is in the world. Thank you, Pat, for introducing me to BTOB!
I'm not a Melody, but I've been listening to K-pop since 2010 and during that period, I've heard a lot of BtoB's music. They are very nostaglic to me and their music is needed in the industry especially when there is a lot of harder hitting groups and it's what the newer generations seem to like. If the group ever disbands, it'll be a big loss.
Thanks for reacting to BTOB. I heard two of the members, Hyunsik and Changsub, were the students of one of Big Mama members. Maybe that's why you can see the similar style.
And for the lyrics that Peniel forgot, that was actually part of an ex-member. It was a lost though, he was such a charismatic rapper, too. But in any case, Peniel did a good job on covering his part.

@@justpat2316 yeah as much as I love btob right now and they surely is still very much as impactful as how they were before. But Ilhoon surely is a very big lost even tho Minhyuk and Peniel are also really really great rappers. Those 3 rappers just has such different tones to them that whenever they're together they make such powerful performances. Peniel with bright, chill type of rapping, Minhyuk the aggressive one while Ilhoon is known for his lazy rap style (it's not a bad thing btw, it's just the way fans describe his melodic type of rapping.) But despite them having these styles that they're known for. All three can do everything. Just like here in this video alone, Minhyuk was doing the lazy type of rapping then later on he was rapping so fast. Same goes to Peniel, although he forgot the lyrics for 2nd confession because it wasn't his part, also it was a really old song, he killed it later on with I'll be your man when he covered Ilhoon's fast rapping. While Ilhoon may be known for his lazy rap style. He's can also rap very very fast, that man just don't breath. He has also always been included to the top 10 best idol rappers during the 3rd gen. Minhyuk was also an underground rapper before debut under the name of Huta. And not to mention, all the 3 rappers can sing like they're lead vocalists. Minhyuk especially or maybe Ilhoon too if trained more vocally, they could be main vocals if they're seriously in a different group. Same goes to the vocal line, all of them can rap really well especially Hyunsik and Sungjae. That's why people who know them (even non fans but just people who knows them) acknowledges them as a group of 7vocals and 7 rappers. That's how good they are.

I'm afraid you might have gotten sick after watching their Killing Voice performance.😁 BTOB (pronounced as bee-to-bee) BORN TO BEAT is an 11 yr old self-composing & producing group that's known for their healing songs and amazing live vocals. Initially a 7-member group..it has 4 power vocals & 3 rappers/sub vocals..but all 7 could sing, rap & play instruments. Unfortunately, the main rapper had to leave the group in 2020 so they were only 6 now. And that's partially the reason why the 6th guy, extreme right..the rapper, forgot some of the lines coz it as an old song (2013) and the part he was rapping was that of the member who's not with them anymore. Also, it's a good thing that they left that mistake as is and didn't edit it out. BTOB is sincere in everything they say & do..never the type to project that perfection often seen among kpop idols..they wanted to be seen as they are..goofballs with mistakes and just like everybody else. That's why aside from their good looks, great vocals & beautiful songs, they have great personalities..funny & humble guys who just love entertaining people with their music. Their motto: We don't sell albums, we sell emotions..is so true.
Stanning them would be so right & you won't regret it. 1st guy is Minhyuk, rapper & vocalist & also composer/producer. 2nd guy is Sungjae, the actor & maknae, lead vocals. 3rd is Eunkwang, oldest & leader, also an executive director, main vocals & musical actor. He already won 4x in Immortal Songs & one of the best vocalists in kpop. 4th guy is Hyunsik, power belter, lead vocals & composed/produced most of their songs. 5th is Changsub, the one with a heavenly voice, also a musical actor and now a CEO of an artist training company. He has lots of solo songs & solo albums..they all do. Last is Peniel, rapper, Korean American & also a podcast host..his voice & style adds a diff flavor to their songs. Individually, they are good artists but together they are perfect. They have beautiful songs and music and is also bcoz they have a wonderful friendship/brotherhood. They promised to remain this way for a loooong time. Also, they love their fandom a lot (Melody) and Melody loves them too. They believe that every beat needs a melody to make a song.
All their songs are good..their albums are great. The one song you liked is their IT'S OKAY and very famous for its healing message. Check out the live stages of this, the mv and their dance version..so good. For recommendation, you could check out their BROTHER ACT Album, BE TOGETHER Album and their new one, WIND AND WISH Album..all have diff colors/genre that you might like. Though you could check out all..they have many albums and songs and all are good and worth listening to. BTOB was one of the first groups that I found in K-POP from their OST work on various dramas. Their whole vibe is just so different from other groups. I came for the powerhouse vocals, fell in love with the goofy and outrageous, but they still love to remind us that they can SING. I now have a 190 song BTOB playlist full of all their albums, OSTs, and solo work - it is my healing playlist! I have a theory...most of them had to fight to get into the industry as their parents were against it (think Super junior Kyuhyun, Bigbang Daesung or even BTOB's Hyunsik)...so it means that most of them got into it due to passion...nowadays its a lucrative business and as such, it does not always attract people who truly love/live music.
