If you have a huge garden to fill, it only makes sense to plant self-seeders. Just pull them out if you don't want them. Spontaneity is a good thing!

Aloha from Oahu 🤙🏽. Plant a eucalyptus by the hot tub! 😎 You'd have your own outdoor spa. Help with privacy, too, and the contrasting colors of the eucalyptus and purple fountain grass would be beautiful. Maybe with some white flowering something as well. BTW. First Proven winners has made it too Hawaii. At least our island. They had select items including bubble gum petunias. Made my daughter extremely happy. They're thriving in containers with our upright elephant ears as a centers piece. Have a blessed one.

Janey, and Robbie, you both need to plant Verbena bonariensis (Tall verbena). It's fabulous and magical in the garden! I have a very small yard (PNW) and planted it in the front landscape near the sidewalk about 5 years ago. This lovely verbena has returned for me every year and spread to the other side of the sidewalk on the parking strip. It's been so much fun to have this double wall of verbena for my neighbors to walk through. It never fails to get attention. If I find I have too many seedlings for the season, I just thin them early. I'd never have a garden without this plant.
I love that verbena, it has spread all over my garden beds all by itself, just love it popping up all over!

For tool care- use a bucket of sand with oil ( lightly damp) in it to put tools in it! It works to keep the tools in good shape!

When you were looking for terra-cotta pots, I thought for sure you were looking for them for the zigzag planter. You mentioned in another video that you were going to get terra-cotta for there. You could just try painting them a terra-cotta color because you love them so much and see how you like it before investing in something else.

Verbena bonariensis is so easy to grow from seed! I love it and if you mulch it barely spreads in my zone 7 garden. It looks lovely throughout a cottage garden. 😍

take the regular terra cotta ones and mix 1 cup lime to I cup water to 1/4 cup tan paint. ( or color of your choice) your daughters could do this for a fun summer project

I absolutely love the verbena lilicina de la mina, and have several in my garden because.....IT SMELLS WONDERFUL!! LOL! Yes, I can definitely smell its lovely perfume. Just walking past it I can smell it. Go figure!
I avoid pits that narrow at the top. I often plant shrubs or evergreens in pots and after a couple of years I try to remove it. Getting it out of the pot is a task.
This video deserves to be celebrated and shared with the world. Well done!

I have Verbena de la Mina and it smells AMAZING! The yummy fragrance is most prominent in the early morning and later in the evening where I live (9b in Arizona-111 degrees yesterday!). I'm with Jason, one of my favs in my garden!

Good morning all! Love the tall pot, and the square ones are really cool! My sister had a Eucalyptus (huge) in the Arizona desert, and the bark is beautiful 😍 Why are my Red Hot Pokers not blooming?? Planted last spring, so a year and a half ago. (Purchased from PW) zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast, East facing, Full sun. Please help 🙏. OMG You two are too fun together 😍 and then add little sister and it is a wonderful time.

Janey, you can start the verbena from seed. One of the easiest I have ever grown.
FYI……I Amin zone 5 in Ontario, Canada. Once I planted some baby foxglove, they took off and seeded themselves for years to come.
I have 25 hydrangeas and live 25 miles west of Palm Springs California. Sun most day shade late afternoon. Mostly proven winners brand. Been in the ground a few years. They want water of course. If there is a will there is a way to have them! Love both of your programs. Blessings to you you and your family

I have the verbena. It’s very easy to recognize and super easy to pull what you don’t want.
