I forgot how intimidating the warthog sounded! I always ran AGR warthog and dogs, i combined Warthog and dogs so they couldnt hide inside or outside. It was such a lethal combo
The higher streaks were incredible (lodestar being my favorite) but the Lightning Strike, guardian, and sentry gun were so good for Dom. Easy to cycle and the best sentry gun we have ever had
Post patch was still good. Get both streaks first. Use lighting strike first then spawn kills them with hell storm. I got many 8+ kills easily especially in highjack, and Nuketown. Few times I took the entire team with the hell storm
I'm so used to this sound, that whenever I play other cods or bf I'm kinda surprised when I get killed by bouncing betty and did not hear that magnificent sound 🤣
This is one of the many reasons why b01 and b02 are my favorite cod’s. Aside from the nostalgia and greatness, the score streak variety was amazing and so diverse compared to the new games out now.
As someone who played Ground War a lot, I always ran Care Package, Guardian, and Sentry Gun for maximum area denial capabilities, especially in Domination. The fact that the Sentry Gun would target anyone, even those running Blind Eye, Ghost, and/or Cold Blooded, made it great for defending flags.
Honestly, streaks are whats most important in a call of duty for me as its what makes the game unique. In that regard, Black Ops 2's score streaks are peefect, whereas almost every kill streak has some nitpicks to change in modern warfare.
I remember using sentry, agr, stealth to get better k/d, i would control the map with the killstreak and people usually would not quit. Great nostalgia nice vid

Black ops 2 worked as a CoD game with its kill streaks, somewhat or mostly based in reality. Things like the Dragonfly and the AGR, which are or can be controlled. Bringing images of small personal drones and the Goliath from world war 2. The hunter killer drone, reminding me of the planes you would pump up and spin the propeller, throwing them to make them start flying. Perhaps going after heat signatures while avoiding your own troops due to electronic id given off by the clothing.
Underrated streaks were the ones you could control on an objective like Hardpoint, Dom, or Demolition. Used to control the AGR and get like 20 kills doing so. The Death Machine on a narrow corridor like an indoor bombsite wrecked, and I could spawn trap with the dragonfire because of the sightline being out of reach for the spawns to recognize.
Swarm stopped getting kills because eventually people would just leave and you'd have 1 kill from 1 person who stayed while the rest quit for obvious reasons. Some maps you spawned outside then got killed by the swarm and you had no time to get inside before getting killed. But these scorestreaks were so fun! I loved BO2 mostly aside from the Swarm since it was basically unplayable against it. 99% of the time you'd get spawnkilled over and over, couldn't shoot it down or protect yourself against it
The hours I put into CoD4, WaW, MW2, BO1 and BO2 combined is insane. Such good times with those games. Also BF:BC2 and Battlefield 3, would like to see gameplay of them too

Any remote kill streak that’s an explosive that drops on you from above or something like the hunter killer drone, used to and I swear they always went for me. Predator missiles in MW3 were another one. They’d go after me and hit the roof of the building I was hiding in. I hate top down weapons and get ptsd whenever I hear anything related to them.
Always ran UAV, hunter killer, sentry gun. Wasn’t normally able to go on a massive tear and get swarms. These kill streaks do wonders for an average players k/d.
*Fun Fact:* at one point in time the military actually tried to make a microwave turret. Though it was nothing like the scorestreak we recognized in Black ops 2. To make something that small and that effective would be incredible. What the military managed to make was these giant looking satellite microwave turrets that had to be carried on top of Humvees. And it took a lot of energy to blast somebody with the microwaves. It was supposed to be used for crowd control and riots rather than military use. Turns out it sucked and it was an absolute waste of taxpayer dollars. It was so weak that it didn't really even cook them up. It just raised the temperature of where they were standing a little bit and that was it. Just a minor annoyance. Which they could just simply stand out of the way of where the turret is pointing at. Or put on suncreem / sunblock. I'm not even joking. They made this giant microwave turns to cook people during crowd control and all it did was raise the temperature a little bit, minorly bother them just a bit, and can be easily countered with a simple bottle of sun cream. A swarm of hunter killer drones is more realistic than making a portable microwave turret that is very effective.
The technology is still in use for crowd control. The “Silent Guardian” system is a smaller version of the technology, which is why the killstreak is called the Guardian
Dogs, Vtol, and Lodestar were the best combo, the dogs would take out all the dudes hidng indoors while you clean up with your lodestar and vtol, then by the time your vtol is done you basically had enough score to call in a new lodestar, which would give you enough for more dogs and another vtol. Rinse and releat and if youre in a decent spot and kept yourself safe with the score streaks youd just be bombing the lobby with dogs cleaning up campers the rest of the match.

I don’t think people realize how good BO2 was. Multiplayer was pretty good. Good guns/ score streaks/ maps. League play was first introduced in BO2. Zombies wasn’t bad either.
Man, I remember grinding for diamond everything. I went for the knife, shield and ballistic first because I knew they’d be frustrating. Destroyed my KDR but I eventually brought it up to a 2.25 or 2.5 lifetime KDR on BO2
Emp grenades scavenger and Quickdraw, OP as fuck in this game. Emp assists were 50 points similar to half a kill and could wall bang above and below a level for equipment. They were never nerfed from my understanding other than Blast radius, ever remember them guys?

CoD literally has an example set for them to copy off of in order to make their next good game. Good 3 lane maps, minimal SBMM, a lot of good balanced guns, and alot of good balanced killstreaks
He says lightning strike is immediate, but it actually got nerfed by half a second. When BO2 came out the bombs went off immediately after you placed your last one. If your heard the announcer say “enemy lightning strike inbound,” it was already too late.

The gun sounds in this game were SO good
Best combo scorestreaks in my opinion is: guardian w/sentry gun, warhog w/vtol, k9 unit w/swarm, lightning strike w/hellstorm mission, emp system w/orbital vsat w/counter uav, stealth chopper w/agr w/escort drone
you forgot the second part of the hellstorm missile after the barrage, it acts like a predator missile if you hit the trigger again
BO2 was so much more polished than BO1

CoD literally has an example set for them to copy off of in order to make their next good game. Good 3 lane maps, minimal SBMM, a lot of good balanced guns, and alot of good balanced killstreaks
The color correction makes it look like BO4 when you're on Slums

This almost made me cry best killstreaks in history I miss bo2
He says lightning strike is immediate, but it actually got nerfed by half a second. When BO2 came out the bombs went off immediately after you placed your last one. If your heard the announcer say “enemy lightning strike inbound,” it was already too late.
I still play bo2 :D
