It is better at high altitudes, but the Viper should win at lower altitudes. As always though, it's the man more than the machine and LS is deadly in the Eagle. I would love to see him fight GS in the F-16.
The great thing about the Eagle, like the Raptor too, is it's ability to bleed energy so quickly while maintaining nose authority and having enough thrust and reliable engines to regain it back again to great advantage in a dogfight. It is part of why a lot of people in the Pentagon did not want the F-16 to have been produced at all, calling it the "American MiG-21", but it was needed for our NATO allies badly. Their F-104s were killing pilots off in droves and the F-4 was not great as a point defense platform and a lot of member nations did not have the budget for Eagles. It's why you only see them in wealthy nation air forces like Israel and Saudi.
Dude Longshot is such a good f15 driver. I want to see LS in an eagle fly against GS in the f16. I feel like GS always gets less capable pilots in an f15 and always wins against it. Let’s see too capable pilots fight. Make it happen.

I am going to use a word I dont normally use in English and that word is "sick" - that was a sick fight Longshot....The F-15 is a surprisingly difficult opponent for the F-16, I tried it two weeks ago against a friend, and I had a hard time to do my rate fight and in the end I managed to get my speed right and started out rating him, so he started a climbing turn and I was not quite able to stay with him, then we had to stop the fight because of bingo fuel. I actually had an easier time in the Mirage 2000, but he tried to one circle me....Like I said Sir, crazy video - I loved it!!!

Watching the Two Idiots videos, I always thought Longshot was a clown who flew by feeling instead of logic. But you explained what you were doing really well. I learned a lot from this one. Also, those F-15s are majestic AF. Been my favorite jet since I was a kid. Nice to see it’s superiority flexed.

At 10:05 you went to 2 circle but for some reason made an instantaneous turn and lost many speed. That is, in fact, you did the same for what we go into in 1 circle fight.I think it would be necessary to keep the speed around 380-420 knots avoiding snapshot and continue turn with best sustained turn rate until the Eagle was outturned.
I am a bit curious, but not sure if this is straight-forward question to answer: Is it a huge disadvantage for the F-15C that it does not have a helmet-mounted sight, but the F-16 Viper has one in this fight? 🙂
@@LongShotChannel So the F-16 turns best between 350 to 410 mph, and you didn't allow him to get that fast? That's freaking brilliant!! (there's So much more to dogfighting than I thought). So the F-15 can out turn a F-16 of they are both flying slowly?
Its not out turn as much as it better AoA pull. If you want to really see the magic in this move. I'm in a rate fight with him, but we are in one circle fight conditions. So he thinks he is in his realm but... no
@@LongShotChannel Ok, that makes perfect sense. That's for taking time to answer. Edit: how long does it take (on average) to read the manual and learn how to fly a fighter plane. Say the F-16, for example.
I learned the jet in game, no manual at first (takeoff , landing, navigation) Then for the first time i read the manual was to map my HOTAS, and its not really reading. From that point on, i learned the jet, and i am going to the manual only when a subject needs an answer. So i dont "read" the manual as much as just using it as a tool.
Yeah, shooting down mostly 2nd and 3rd generation export versions fighters without good support from Awacs. I wonder what would happen if Iraq and Yugoslavia had about 500 serviceable Su-27s/Mig-29C with R-77 and a normal Awacs support.

Well, it goes to allmost all of the jets. The compeny name will be different then what the pilots choose for it. And the pilots name is tje one used while saying its name most of the time. A10 warthawg F16 Viper And more
Many mistakes in the first dogfight by the F-16 pilot - the F-15 has no chance vs. an F-16 in a dogfight with a pilot with decent dogfighting skills and an understanding of BFM.
The sidewinder POV in the third round was so tasty! Great editing Longshot! Edit : The key to shooting the old AIM-9M's and L's is to imagine a long streamer being towed by the bandit. You need to position your aircraft relative to that streamer, his flightpath so that the missile comes off the rail where it's seeker head has enough gimbal to stay within the seeker head tracking limits during flight time to the target AND stay within the aerodynamic capabilities of the missile control fins AND not give the weapon system software a prediction parameter it cannot solve, like when you attempt high off boresight launches. You have to be "In the Saddle" behind the bandit, not just pointing at it like you can with AIM-9X's. Longshot's last shot was a perfect saddle shot, in the groove, 5 by 5! 👍

It is. Imagine my turn (lets be conservative) 30 degrees less till weapon delivery (an AIM 9 X that can turn better as well)

from what i heard of ED. the F-15E Strike Eagle should retain equal A2A combat capabilites as the C variant. ^^

@@SandMartin That would take out the AWACS and the link first and it would be the same - defeat the opponent.
