A person who doesn’t read lives only one life. A person who reads lives a thousand lives.
:)
Omg!! Ur right
I love books but it’s story telling. I have received the experience from some movies and occasionally games but those are the exception; books always include the MC thoughts and helps your empathise and develop their philosophies and perspectives other mediums can never copy. We live in an era where tech and books live together so we should love both (btw I totally recommend the Tolkien Lord of the rings series both movies and books are great but books have a different charm and has its own differences especially with time and details) :D
Is there evidence.
OmG that’s for sure
“Today a reader , tomorrow a leader “ is a famous saying we should all think . Thanks a lot for the video .
Thanks for watching and sharing!
I deleted my social media and started reading again. I truly found my love for reading again and honestly I can say social media ruined my attention span. I used to be able to read all day. But when I was addicted to social media I couldn’t do it without checking my phone. I’m glad I got rit of it.

Personally, I find that I absorb a physical book better than an electronic one. There is something about the feel of physical paper that aids in the retention of information. Also, finishing a physical book feels more satisfying. At least for me it does.

Electronic book you mean read on computer screen yea computer monitor cause cancer
I always felt ta same as described . 👍

It’s fascinating how we could imagine different things in our minds just by looking at words.
Yep
@@TheLifeFormulaa I'm reading harry potter right now
Yer like it’s crazy, I think it’s called imagination or something
@@TheLifeFormulaa I want to start reading books which book should I start with.
@@samirzain7212 I started with topics I like.
Non fiction self help but I also like fantasy, adventure, mystery, horror and many more. Maybe start with a topic that interest you and want to know more about. Or a movie that you liked and want to read the book. Read and enjoy it.
Reading indeed reduces stress. I've felt this very often. It helps me snap out of bad thoughts and takes me to a beautiful world.

It's like meditation
I started reading novels at the age of 12 and used to force myself to read because I found it to be boring and tiring. The result: I became a bookworm and now I can’t stop reading. I swear I’m more addicted to reading than using my phone. Even my mom gets mad because I read too much. I read at home, in the library, in the passenger seat blah blah. Reading has improved my writing over the years and also my vocabulary so that’s a great thing :)

Absolutely wonderful. Another one of the greatest reasons why reading is good for a person, is that it makes them strong. Reading brings knowledge, and a person who is knowledgeable can never be screwed over.
Thank you!
Thank you for the insightful benefits of reading. I am a bibliophile and I read an average of 60 books a year - both F/NF - lots of large books and series. In March I read 9 books, including Tolstoy's War and Peace. I agree with everything you said. Frequent reading broadens and deepens your knowledge, imagination, focus, perception, vocabulary, and EQ to name a few. My love for books and reading developed before I was 5yrs old and with frequent visits to the library, a habit that I still maintain after many decades. I still prefer paper books as I like the feeling of holding one in my hands and turning pages, and I read faster than I would with an eBook and audiobook.

What is the longest book you’ve read? The longest one I’ve seen but haven’t read yet is It by Stephen King.

Yesss
I just read a chapter everyday and I finish the book in a month (two if its a long novel). The challenge is giving that extra effort required to open the book and getting through the opening paragraph or chapter because it has to hook you. A lot of people don't want to do that and find it boring because they're not reading about things that interest them. I was the same way, you have to read about things that interest you and enjoy it. Never had I thought I'd read so much in my life and finish a book by myself. Thank you authors/writers for helping me get through the pandemic!
Thanks for sharing!
I watched this with my 3rd graders they said the following: "I like to read every night". "Sometimes I read chapter" "WE LOVE BOOKS!" "Thank you for this video" "Thank you for showing this video so I can read more". "I read EVERYDAY!" "I used to sleep with a bedtime story and then I go to sleep." Thank you for the info.
Before i started reading I had a 2.4 GPA after reading I now have a 3.55 weighted 3.6 GPA
Huge progress..nice!
Awesome!
How much are you reading on a daily basis? And when did you start reading?
That's amazing.So happy for you.☺️
THE LEGEND I was reading for 30 Minutes a day which is about 15-20 pages a day . I started last year . The progress was pretty fast and it actually relaxes the mind and I was able to remember more in class and it also gave me energy to work which is why my gpa went up .
I have literally read books since this Lunar new year. I've realised that nothing is compared to reading a book. It broadened my knowledge and made me so fascinated when I finished reading a book.Thank you for the insightful benefits of reading, your video motivated me a lot.
Glad this video helped

I am 28 years old and I just bought a package that contains 5 very interesting books about life, universe and spirituality. I can say that the last time I read a book was 7-8 years ago ..and now that I have started again I can say that I feel a great pleasure. :)
Thanks for sharing!
I’m 28 also. Just ordered a kindle. Gonna aim for 50 books. But I’ll start with fiction thank you xD good thriller or detective book.
This was a great reminder of how important reading is for the brain, spirit and imagination. And...it’s fun! Cheers! 👍📕😉
Agreed. Reading is amazing and fun

Mentor ship is so key! Books can help you grow to the next level
Exactly!
Reading is knowledge for the mind and knowledge is powerful.
Yep!
I used to read only nonfiction thinking fiction to be useless but since I started reading fiction I find that it helps flex the memory muscle because you have to remember characters and plots. I love both fiction and nonfiction now and I try to keep it 50/50.

I want reading to become one of my new hobbies. I struggle a lot when it comes to trying new things and settling on a hobby. As of now, it's taking time to go outside and reading.
You have to try and make it a habit. Consistency will get you where you want
The Life Formula True, but getting to that stage is difficult. It took a year to make reading a habit. I always preferred other things over reading, but now if I have nothing to do or before I go to sleep, I automatically grab a book off my shelf.
here's a few tips for how to learn to read
Decide precisely why you wish to learn
Find which method works for you the best.
(I discovered about these and more from Pronto learner compendium website )
Nice summary of multiple reading benefits. I think also that reading makes us happy because we get to know about things in detail rather than in a superficial way. And in my experience, reading a well-chosen book about a subject in-depth written by a talented writer, learning is best achieved. I do normally not get this level of detail from documentary movies or youtube clips, they are more like sketches and move to fast to remember the details. When I read about a subject it often appeared to me/ I experienced that before the world from this perspective looked like a bleak, blurred picture, and after I understood the details it looked sharp and colorful.
Thanks for sharing
I have started reading again after a while and believe me it's amazing.

I read about 50 books a year. On December 31st of last year I made a promise to myself to read different authors to expand my knowledge. I don't spend money on books. I check tem out for free at the local library. I like the tangible book rather than the ebook because I have retina issues. My mother encouraged reading for the summer at the age of 10. It is a solitary activity and thats what she wanted so we did not socialize with the wrong crowd. I am 56 and I encourage my husband to read because it helps with dementia-related dieases.
Good stuff! Thank you for sharing. I’ve always loved to read, but I find the magnetic pull of social media a serious detriment! I’m trying to discipline myself to put my device in another room so I can read! I’ve been improving the last month or two, but I needed to see this!
You got this!
Yeah...I read a lot...it's my hobby and I really really love it and I enjoy it so much....along with my studies, I captured the time to read and that's my "ME Time" actually!
Ahh obsessed 😅 of reading... Whenever I got time or any book 📖 I started to read it! On weekends I read atleast 2-3 HRS as I don't get time to read on Monday to Friday due to my studies...well ❤️ reading is my love 💕

I absolutely love to read. It's one of the ways I can get my fix on new knowledge. Yes, like a book junkie and my supplier is my local library.

❤💚 Thank you for your insights. Its helped me understand how much I've gained. I've been reading a few pages from 10 books a day has changed my life. Been doing it for over two months now. Before that it was a few pages from two books a day. It has given me greater confidence, self-esteem, insight, and wisdom. 💚❤

Thank you so much for this video! my kids have been always driving me crazy asking me questions like "Why is reading important?" "does it make you smarter?" and I always tell them that its the most important thing for a growing human to experience. Books are the best thing ever!!!!
This is a pretty great way to change the perspective of an avid reader like me.
It's awesome that you are an avid reader

With me, I'm learning French, so I'm continuously reading French texts out loud. At first I was choppy and slow when reading, now it's pretty smooth and I'm understanding more when I read, which makes me so happy and excited!
Awesome!
C'est bien d'apprendre le français!
Reading is really important. I usually read books that give knowledge instead of genre books. You can find me reading books about theories, mindset, health, wealth, stories of millionaires written about millionaires etc.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
Reading is more than just getting information, it also gives entertainment and peace for your mind.
Yep, I agree
Reading is my favorite subject
Reading is amazing!
When he showed the GOT I knew right off the bat he was going to refer to Tyrion’s lines! He’s got to be one of my favs! Love that LINE
Tyrion is one of my favorite characters as well! Too bad they made him kinda dumb near the end of the show

Reading has helped me gain so much knowledge. My friends think that I am the smartest thing in the world. But I am just still trying improve!

Thanks for video! I agree that reading is important nowadays
Long story short
I avoided reading due to my peers dismissing it at a young age.
Somehow my ass became a reader due to a passion for education late in my life (24-present;27). Your intellect will compound substantially with reading, youtubing information, and skills.
I went from a passionate drug addiction, alcoholic, naive waste of space, to owning 2 businesses with incredible margins. At 27, I finally started to read and buy books. I am into the Robert Greene collection, James Clear, Jim Rohn, and informative texts, research papers, text books, and so on. I am also ADHD, so I have a ton of passions. Reading allows my brain to focus more and more. I have conquered traumas and guilt through texts that others had wrote about over time. I have developed a better understanding and have become someone I admire. I like the Greene series because it helps you understand your emotions, human condition, how to respect yourself while knowing who not to become.
I love audio books but the actual reading definitely produces more neurological benefit.
I know I ramble and digress. However, it is not too late, I have done more in 3 or so years on my own, than I have done in my whole life.
Special thanks to TH-cam influences like VSause, Star Talk, Veritassium for making laymen videos which opened the door to science and deeper more complex worlds of understanding.
Reading seems to be the pinnacle for most development which is shaping the next level in my life.
Thanks for sharing. Those TH-camrs are great
This video is really great!!
Thank you
I like reading mangas, comic, novels that are fantasy, romantic, and more
But I always read on my phone bc I don't have a book to read on
That's fine
Such a great and informative video. Thanks
Glad this video helps
Yes I do read quite often. I prefer non-fiction. Biographies, low level science books, a little hostory etc. but I do have a weakness for the Sherlock Holmes stories. And I really liked the Bonnie MacBird version of the character. Thank you for the vid that was 5+ minutes of greatness.
It's amazing on how this guy provides information on why reading is important! It shows that he cares about his brain just about as much as we care for our own!
Thank you
thanks so much. your video is a big help to my students... from the Philippines.
Glad to hear that!
It sounds great. Thank you man
Glad you like it!
Hey, “ The Life Formula. I have a crucial problem when it comes to reading. For the past two months, I have read almost 6 books and cannot understand the main concept. Are there any suggestions on how to improve my reading comprehension and to apply what I learned to the real world?
When you finish your reading session, make your set of notes about what you read. On your set of notes, you should write down some takeaways you agree with and want to implement. Hope this can help give you a good starting point
Thank u so much for this video .it helped me a lot and it showed me the importance of reading.....I start love reading 🤭❤

@@TheLifeFormulaa thank you for your reply and information.......
I sometimes feel squirrelly and feel uncomfortable sometimes, after I started reading I feel bad less! It's amazing, I think it's because my mind has a lot of cool stuff to focus on instead of the useless junk that's built up in my mind over the years like regret, guilt, sadness. Not to say that I'm depressed, if I were then reading alone wouldn't make me feel like a spring chicken again in just a few days.
Reading can help you get away from the thoughts in your head

Reading has so many benefits!
Absolutely!
yes i always read a book but its on screen i mean on my phone because i don't have any accessories to find books easly. so my question is does it have any side effects or disadvantages reading on screen.
If you read on a screen too long, your eyes might hurt. For me, staring at a screen too long hurts my eyes
I heard that reading physical books are better than reading or listening to audio or ebooks online.
When you read physically, you use your 'deep learning' parts of your brain. And plus reading online is quite new for humans, while humans have read actual books alot in the past and evolutionised. From a research article I read, I also heard that reading physically is less stressful, more comfortable, memorise more and cause less headaches and strains for the eyes. And is also better for sleep since reading online emits bluelight. Reading in nightlight will help you. I'm sorry if I did not make any sense. Have a nice day! :)
I really like to read comics, but I don't mind reading a book🙃
It's really satisfying finishing one💕😌
I totally agree!
Excellent!
Thank you!
Question: What about books with violent or graphic content, although the author’s original intent is not to promote violent behavior, but warn readers of the dangers of such (crime, mystery/suspense, war history books or stories, etc.?)
Some of those books are good to read for enjoyment
Yesterday i started to read my first book just because i wanted myself and no one forced me like back during school days, the book is Fellowship of The Ring. This book is fantasy but it's really immersive and more intersting than I expected.
because this can enhance your reading comprehension and creating up your muscle memory and you can build up more vocabulary words
:)
