Cage dropping to his knees crying bitterly was cut out of this video. there's just no words to describe this scene. The currents running through the Aliens, the gorgeous spaceship, the rocks that fell to the ground once they were gone. The very peak of flesh and blood alien human beings, along with extreme cruelty leaving a father to die without his kids for no apparent reason.
Aliens are like "nah, not you". To be fair, I don't see how they could evacuate 7 billion people from Earth. And they don't seem to have the power to prevent what is going to happen (or they are just very lazy. Or they do not have enough budget for this shit.)

I remember screening this movie after assembling it. Best scene in the whole movie. Just the image of a dozen or so ships leaving the planet with the sole survivors of earth to escape the oncoming doom was breathtaking. Not to mention that the ships were made of energy and crystals.
At 1:19 you can see how the moving alien-angel nods his head towards John, either saying/reassuring with human body language that his children are in good hands, or saying goodbye in understandable human way.

This scene is a clear refrence to the book of Ezekiel when he saw God in a vehicle with wheels inside of wheels. Many people interpreted that as him having a extraterrestrial encounter and tried describing it as best as he could. Read "Chariots of the Gods" or watch "Ancient Aliens" season 1.

As I watched this scene, I couldn't help but shed a tear as he said goodbye to his son one last time before he watched as they left, because they both knew they would never see each other again, and it would be the last time to say their goodbyes. A father selflessly sacrificing himself so his own child would live... an aspiring sacrifice that all fathers and mothers should do for their children if it meant they lived, and an example of what I would do if it was up to me to save my own children or family. Some of you may think about why they didn't save ALL of humanity, and only took the children and the animals... If you think about it, if they took all humans to a new world to start over and rebuild, like how Noah built the Ark to preserve the lives of every species on the Earth when God created the flood to cleanse the world, who is to say we wouldn't make the same mistakes we did before? Segregation, Discrimination, Racism, Slavery, War, Famine, Pestilence, Violence, Pollution, Terrorism, and our own Self-Destruction... No doubt we are a violent race... If we really were brought to a new world to rebuild, within the next few decades, centuries, or millenium, because of our own recorded history and what we are taught, who is to say we wouldn't repeat what we did before? Today, the new generation would always look back at our history, and would easily point out the mistakes we made along the way that led to today's society. Much like how we look at discrimination and racism today. That's why I believe they took the children over everyone else, because they knew better what NOT to do, for the betterment of a greater society, and make better choices than we did. It was up to them to make a better world... Much better than ours... Makes sense. And that's actually one of my theories. We have many sources telling about some other-world creatures visiting us. Dating to ancient times. And in Bible, we have angels(our guardians) and demons(evil ones). How did humans learn everything they know today? How did they evolve? What about all the strange messages around the world? This movie is filled with religious symbolism, my favorite is the end shot of the boy and girl running towards the tree at the end, which recreates the imagery of Adam and Eve being put on Earth by "God" and then running towards the Tree where Satan the snake tempts Eve to eat the apple. In essence these 2 children arrived pure, and this foreshadows that they will curse their proginy with inevitable trouble "sin" as is part of human nature. I love that this movie bridges biblical folklore and myths with Aliens and Technology. If these aliens came to us, thousands of years ago with their big ships creating brilliant light scatter, brightness, and being difficult to contour from the bottom, they could be mistaken as clouds opening up for the arrival of the angels. The angels in question are those aliens, as you can see they are winged in a subtle way that tempts the viewer to make that connection without recoiling from how gaudy and meretricious the idea is. What if the whole bible story and all the miracles, holy spirits, and angels were just an overseeing delegation of aliens, that prompted our apish, barbaric kind to prostrate to these perceived deities? So I can believe the concept of an Earth that is billions of years old. What I refuse to believe is that there was no intelligent design.

As I watched this scene, I couldn't help but shed a tear as he said goodbye to his son one last time before he watched as they left, because they both knew they would never see each other again, and it would be the last time to say their goodbyes. A father selflessly sacrificing himself so his own child would live... an aspiring sacrifice that all fathers and mothers should do for their children if it meant they lived, and an example of what I would do if it was up to me to save my own children or family.
Some of you may think about why they didn't save ALL of humanity, and only took the children and the animals... If you think about it, if they took all humans to a new world to start over and rebuild, like how Noah built the Ark to preserve the lives of every species on the Earth when God created the flood to cleanse the world, who is to say we wouldn't make the same mistakes we did before?
Segregation, Discrimination, Racism, Slavery, War, Famine, Pestilence, Violence, Pollution, Terrorism, and our own Self-Destruction... No doubt we are a violent race... If we really were brought to a new world to rebuild, within the next few decades, centuries, or millenium, because of our own recorded history and what we are taught, who is to say we wouldn't repeat what we did before? Today, the new generation would always look back at our history, and would easily point out the mistakes we made along the way that led to today's society. Much like how we look at discrimination and racism today.
That's why I believe they took the children over everyone else, because they knew better what NOT to do, for the betterment of a greater society, and make better choices than we did.

This movie is filled with religious symbolism, my favorite is the end shot of the boy and girl running towards the tree at the end, which recreates the imagery of Adam and Eve being put on Earth by "God" and then running towards the Tree where Satan the snake tempts Eve to eat the apple. In essence these 2 children arrived pure, and this foreshadows that they will curse their proginy with inevitable trouble "sin" as is part of human nature. I love that this movie bridges biblical folklore and myths with Aliens and Technology. If these aliens came to us, thousands of years ago with their big ships creating brilliant light scatter, brightness, and being difficult to contour from the bottom, they could be mistaken as clouds opening up for the arrival of the angels. The angels in question are those aliens, as you can see they are winged in a subtle way that tempts the viewer to make that connection without recoiling from how gaudy and meretricious the idea is. What if the whole bible story and all the miracles, holy spirits, and angels were just an overseeing delegation of aliens, that prompted our apish, barbaric kind to prostrate to these perceived deities?

God does not break his own laws. DNA has very specific defining instructions which maintain genetic consistency. The genesis account of creation lays out the order in which things were created, in six stages. How long did each stage take? The Bible says six days. The bible also says that to God, a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day. Time does not mean anything to God, and it did not mean anything until Man began to measure and record it. For all we know, each stage may have taken millions, if not billions of years. So I can believe the concept of an Earth that is billions of years old. What I refuse to believe is that there was no intelligent design.
