After a recent post encouraging a low scoring forum member to be hopeful, several people have asked me how I got score from 426 to the 799 today. Hard work, patience, as well as asking many questions on this forum, have been my salvation. Not to say I haven’t slipped - I got so excited a few weeks ago when my score hit 799, and applied for a chase Auto Loan and amex 30k limit credit card (it was my birthday), and my score started slipping downward because of those new inquiries. I need not to beat myself up over those decisions, but oh well, you can’t change the past. Super excited to hit 900
So I barely started building my credit about 1 year ago. Credit karma says it’s 748! I think I’ve been doing a fantastic job paying all my purchase on time, without any fees. This has been working for me. I have a friend said that the way you build your credit and it goes higher is by paying the minimum payment on the due date, so he doesn’t fully pay it. To be honest I feel that’s not right but I don’t know much and advise?

1) Do NOT close your cards. Ever.
2) Be sure to inquire if the request for credit limit increase will be a hard or soft pull; if its the former, make sure the additional inquiry on your credit is worth it.
3) Do not ever intentionally reduce your balance; if you don't think you're responsible enough, you don't deserve a credit card to begin with.
My credit was in the tank when I got my last vehicle. Low 600s (It was in the 500s, but after 7 years a lot of bad history fell off). Now, after practicing what I've been preaching, I've avoided bankruptcy, have a 760 Credit score, an Amex AND a Discover, as well as a couple MasterCards and a Visa and can easily get approved for any loan I could ask for. The only thing I'm hurting in is the length of credit history which goes back to my first "new" cc.

I just had a past due collections appear on my credit report from 5 years ago. I knew nothing about it. I called the credit collections company and paid the debt. I called the collections company and they said "no" that's up to credit bureau. I just called Transunion again and they said it was no longer on report. Experian won't answer their phone so went online, all effort to correct this was proven abortive and I needed to do this fast for me to qualify for a house mortgage. Few weeks ago I came across this credit coach who many had recommended how he had helped them with their credit score. I contacted him via his working email address[creditscorespy@gmail.com] and asked if he could help me. He answered boldly 'YES' and explained to me in detail the whole process. I gave him a try to my greatest surprise he did an amazing job. My score has been boosted to 787 on average across all bureaus and all 3 items were removed.

I used to work for a credit card company and the "buy a pack of gum every 6 months" thing on inactive accounts is good advice, but I've seen the bank's internal policy be if you used less than 25% of your credit line in the last 12 months it could trigger a line reduction or even closure... I tend to make sure I make a large purchase, that I was planning on paying cash for anyway, at least once a year on my inactive accounts.

Yea stupid credit cards like jcpenny, conoco philips which is 76 Gas stations and capitol one closed my accounts in the same month because they said I didn’t use them for 6 months all three cards were pay in full I would have appreciate them letting me know that if I didn’t used them they would close them now I only got 7 credit cards left and in good standing but checking on them before they closed them for not using which I was told it was good not using them from time to time.
My credit was a 425 a year ago. I used credit karma to dispute & I also used Self Lender ant here I am, not quite a year later with a 694.

My credit is ony 671 and everything says exceptional. I only have 2 credit lines open so I know Im low on "types", but shouldnt my score still be higher. What am I missing? I know you cant answer and busy, but just an odd thing to know.

A credit score don't mean anything you can still get denied with a 850 score. . It just tells you the whole Credit turns into debt

The best strategy is AZEO. All Zero Except One. Keep all your cards at $0 balance except one card. Keep something small on that card - $5 to $20 a month. Pay off the statements so you aren't being charged interest but keep a small balance on one card per month.

Navy Federal doesn’t have a limit on how many Secured “Pledge” loans you can take out, which is great and there is no credit check. If you pay most of it off before the first payment you get even more of a boost and you get what you paid back. Then, place the rest due of it on auto pay.

I was surprised to see mine at 813 when I bought my house at 23. Phone bill, car payment and all spending going through a credit card apparently helped me as a young kid. Never missed a payment and never carried a balance on my credit card.
Note: I paid my car off completely prior to getting pre approved for a mortgage.

A tradeline means that you are a authorized user of someone else's credit card. You don't have to have possession of the card, but they're credit history will reflect on your credit report...a parent or family member with EXCELLENT credit can be a "tradeline" I graduated college with 97,000 in debt"...that right there is a Huge problem..schools have become a business that drain students of money and yet, no one is stepping in to help the students who then graduate with massive debt and have difficulty paying it off...Having that much debt can be overwhelming for ANYONE...Especially a young 20 something who hasn't even began their career. But i really thank you for this video because i found Kyle and within few week they fixed my Credit score which is hindrance by student loan and added a large tradeline thanks a lot 808

Due to financial struggle my credit had been damaged at almost an unsurpassable amount. I researched many Law firms and credit repair sites and i found Credit PatchUp LLC. After a recent post encouraging a low scoring forum member to be hopeful, several people have asked me how I got score from 426 to the 799 today. Hard work, patience, as well as asking many questions on this forum, have been my salvation. Not to say I haven’t slipped - I got so excited a few weeks ago when my score hit 799, and applied for a chase Auto Loan and amex 30k limit credit card (it was my birthday), and my score started slipping downward because of those new inquiries. I need not to beat myself up over those decisions, but oh well, you can’t change the past. I found 30% utilization was too much. I lowered mine to around 10% and my score increased faster. This was using credit karma to check my credit. It was only going up 2 points at a time with 30% and with 10% it's going up 3-4 points at a time.
Likewise, I had the same experience recently. My unsecured credit card is $300 limit. I just have appletv app on my fire stick that charges me $4.99 per month on that card and that's it! did this in June and my score went from 735 to 760 in the past 3 months....awesome! Great advice!

Credit Karma I use as a tool even though it is not 100% accurate, but just an estimate. 1 score went 58+ and the other 39+. Waiting on FICO 9 right now.
Afraid to pay off the remaining $200 for my student loan tho. I heard if you pay it off, it drops your score.

credit karma, credit sesame and even some credit bureaus are two to three months behind on payments. I have a truck I am paying off and the reported balance is always higher than what is listed on any credit service. why is that?
