The queen broke the cycle by treating the daughter with kindness. You don't break a cycle by ending a bloodline, you become better than what you were given. You should always want your child to do better than you and help them get there.

Kinda of amazing watching the mother of the last one know she couldnt break the cycle due to her own powerlessness or non-confidence to do so.. but looking at her child, she knew she would have what she lacked to do what she couldnt. I'm not sure if you even meant for this but I love the spin on it you made from the penultimate queen not reprimanding her daughter for not taking it all seriously. It's like instead of the final queen being like "this is messed up, I'm done", the final princess opened her mother's eyes to a better way of life. From there she paves the way for her daughter without a need to make some drastic changes when she's in charge, cause she technically breaks the cycle before she even takes the throne.
