- Here is a quick guide on how to catch/Obtain the four classic evolution pokemon in Generation 1, Red, Blue and Yellow. Gengar, Golem, Machamp and Alakazam WITHOUT TRADING :)
You can do that on 3DS VC too.
The two methods used are the Mew and Ditto Glitch.

DJ Incendration yeah but I heard there was an easy way to glitch in friends. You just have to do the missingno. Glitch using any Pokeball. Then you have an unlimited amount.

Fun fact: all of these pokemon are also compatible with the level 1 -> 100 glitch. Long story short, you can make any of these pokemon level 100 too with almost no extra effort.
When you're fighting the pokemon with the special stat =14, 49, 126, or 149 (the stat that decides whether you get a Gengar, Golem, etc.), instead of just knocking out that pokemon or running away, first lower its attack stat all the way down (use 6 growls, for example). That's literally all you have to do. The pokemon you'll run into will be level 1 instead of level 7. And if you look at its stats, it'll have some stupidly high number of experience points (underflow glitch). You get it to level 100 by just battling a weak pokemon (weak enough to not overflow, eg. 20 ish experience points) since you've tricked the game into thinking you've maxed out the pokemon's experience.
They're all compatible with the Experience Underflow glitch as they're in the Medium-Slow group

Here's a way to get Gengar in Yellow:
1. Get through Viridian Forest
2. Buy an Escape Rope from Pewter City
3. Use the Pokémon Center so that you'll teleport there
4. Find the trainer that only exists in Pokémon Yellow in Viridian Forest
5. Save before encountering him
6. Try to open the menu while simultaneously walk in front of him
7. Use the Escape Rope
8. Get in front of the first trainer in Pewter Gym, but DON'T do it right in front of him, go far to the right and then fight him
9. Be defeated
10. Get back to Viridian Forest
11. Enjoy
You can face him directly..
You have to growl at digglet 6 times

The other way to catch them is the old man in Viridian city glitch, but it'll depend on your name The third, fifth, seventh, ninth, and eleventh slots of the player's name are the species of Pokémon that will appear. [sadly only Alakazam will appear for this glitch]
V will trigger an Alakazam D for Mewtwo Z for Bulbasaur,( Venusaur,q Charmander, r Squirtle, s Charmeleon, t Wartortle, u Charizard
So thats why I always found charmeleons on cinnabar lol

Alternative way to get Gengar: encounter a Pokémon in front of a trainer in Viridian forest, let your Pokémon faint, battle blue but make your Pokémon lose to his starter, go to viridian forest and you can capture a level 1 Gengar that immediately grows to level 100 if you do the glitch properly
The method I used was different. Before the last trainer in viridian forest, the trainer before that when coming into sight immediately press the start button and use a escape rope (you should have already made it to pewter city by now). After using the escape rope it’ll look like you’re about to start a battle but you’ll teleport instead to pewter city pokecenter. After that make your way to the gym and face the first trainer (make sure you’re at a distance when approaching him to battle so he’ll walk to you, (walking directly in front the trainer will cause the game to crash) start the battle and use tail whip as much as possible and then faint. Once fainted head back to viridian forest and Gengar will appear. You can also use this method to get level 100 ivysaur, nidoking, slowbro and lickitung

Golem can be spawned on Route 15 with the Lass trainer over the ledge, you need a Pokémon with cut to access after the walker battle.
I needed this before GS were released. Not now when I already sold those games ;-;

@@M3rtyville You can Always send them to Sun/Ultra Sun and Moon and use it against others. But of course, Pokebank only accepts them if you raise their levels a bit

For machamp I’m yellow if you catch a cub one and trade it with the girl in the tunnel south of cerulean city then she will trade a machoke that evolves after it’s traded.
I only need 11 more (I just caught an Alakazam) Pokémon to get until my Pokédex is complete! And they are, Squirtle; Wartortle; Charmander; Charmeleon; Charizard; Ekans; Oddish; Gloom; Vileplume; Vaporeon and Flareon!

Experience Underflow gengar before brock & Then you don't have to get the other one ~♡
Should use growl 6 times and the catch it lv1 then get less then 55 exp and it lv 100

Why i cant find ditto in the bush?
In Yellow you can get a Gengar with the glitch in Viridian Forest... just make sure you lose to the Diglett from the trainer in Brock's gym when doing it, and if you're able to do Growl 6 times, there's a chance you can make that Gengar go to 100 in 1 battle as long as the EXP it get's is too low while it's at Lv.1
There's also another way in Yellow, wich requires you to use an escape rope in Viridian Forest to Escape from a long-range bug catcher trainer, then Go back to Viridian forest, find a Pidgeotto and use Growl 6 times. Then, go to Pewter and try to Leave Pewter city, after the NPC stops you from leaving town and take you to the Gym, go Back to Viridian Forest, and you may find a Level 1 Gengar without losing a battle at Pewter city Gym :)

isn't there any sooner case? like, for yellow machamp is quite useless since you can get one already in game, but for golem and alakazam you have to wait quite mid/late game...as for red and blue on the other side, it's quite the same for all 3 except gengar...better than nothing i suppose but what if you want them as your normal party members? (considering a decent catch level during the playthrough, i mean)
Unfortunately there's no way to get Alakazam earlier, the ''fastest way'' was to train a Kadabra, so it could match Alakazam's special stat to use the Ditto glitch. No trainer in-game can generate a Alakazam encounter.
As for Golem, you can get it earlier, sometimes some wild pokémon have the special stat of 49, after encountering a 49 special stat wild pokemon, just go back to where you ''flew/teleported away''

The thing is, the glitch always work, but every trainer generates a different pokémon when the glitch is performed

question: r u playin red cuz only ditto is found in that route on red n if yellow then that would mean dittos in the lowest floor in that building on cinnabar island or was there a ditto cheat on jw? cuz u found ditto that looks like it came from red but the colors come from yellow but yeah is this red or?
So, in Pokémon Red and Blue, Ditto is found in the route which I was hunting him. In Pokémon Yellow you will find Ditto in the lowest floor of cinnabar Island or either Cerulean Cave if you already beat the game.
I'm playing Red on Emulator, VBA to be more precise, and in that emulator there's an option to give colors to every GB game you play. longshort story, VBA emulator can play with color.

Not a problem man! Well, unfortunately there is no single trainer with a pokémon special stat of 149. BUT, if I'm not mistaken, in the last floor of cerulean cave, you have a small chance of catching a Chansey with a 149 special stat. the odds I think are from 144 up to 158. Then you can use the Ditto glitch.

Sorry if I forgot to mention, but for a Chansey to have a special stat of 149, it has to be a Lvl64 wild Chansey which can only be found at Cerulean Cave.

For Gengar I accidentally defeated the trainer before this , what do I do?
same for me. I guess you can use the Ditto glitch (look for it on the internet), but getting a pokemon with the needed special can be tough
EDIT: Look at the list at puu.sh/257S you might find another trainer that gives Gengar that you haven't beaten yet
I got my gengar in veridian forest. You use escape rope on the trainer in the very middle of the forest (2nd) from the exit into pewter city. You have to got battle a trainer. Make sure this trainer walks to you DO NOT TALK TO HIM/ HER the game will freeze. defeat him or her.after you win then battle a wild rattata level 12 (pretty rare in the grass by jigglypuff lass trainer) most are spearow

@@NB_06 you’re welcome I forgot to include also you head back to veridian forest and the pause menu will appear close it then gengar will appear. Use thunder wave from your pikachu then make sure to have adleast ten poke balls it took me 6 to catch him

All Pokémon have am index number, it's literally possible to catch all 151 and beat the League all with 0 Badges and 0 Trades
I combined the Brock Through Walls Glitch™ with the Trainer Fly Glitch. I never heal at a Pokémon Center and I use Pallet as my home base, it's fun. You should give it a shot

My big question is the Alakazam. What move pool does it have spawning in, and is teleport one of them.
Answer: Yes, teleport is in the set. Thankfully the move failed and I was able to get a sleep on him.

It doesnt look like you can get all 4 on the same game though right? You use the long range glitch on the same trainer for golem and machamp and they change to defeated after you catch?

You can trade cubone for machoke in Pokemon yellow to a npc in the cerulean part of underground tunnel

You can get any Pokémon you want with the Mew glitch. It all depends on what the last Pokémon was that you killed in a trainer fight.
Not any Pokemon it has to be a trainer thats still available and you haven't fought yet. There's a specific Pokemon for each corresponding enemy/special but some of them are very difficult to perform without Fly/teleport in the early game
For those who dont know about the cinnabar island clitch fly to cinnabar go to the right side were the gym is and select pokemon that knows surf along the side up and down and you will find all sorts of pokemon i caught a snorlax level 141 hard to believe i know but its true
The missing number glitch is risky cause it’s by far the easiest way to crash your game.

Can you do the glitch twice on the same trainer? For example golem and machamp use the same starting trainer to fly away from. After catching golem will machamp still be able to obtain?
Yes, you can use the same trainer to fly away a thousand times. He only becomes useless if you battle him. I just happened to have more than 1 trainer to activate the glitch :)

My level 2 Charmander knows Fire Punch *and* Flamethrower. I could teach him Fire Blast, or Dragon Rage which would 1-Shot virtually *any* opponent before Surge, I believe

You have to restart your game or make a new game because you cant re battle trainers. Maybe come prepared and not battle the trainer so you know what your doing.
You can do this glitch once? Or multiple time? Because I catched mew then tryed to catch gengar but my pokeballs kept missing gengar

There's no trainer that can trigger Alakazam, it can only be done using the Ditto glitch.

How many gyms do you have to beat before getting Alakazam?
With luck 6, but pretty much 8 because special stat requires a high level pokemon :(

Well, it's kinda confused to explain, but.... We know when we Teleport/Fly away from a battle, and then battle any random trainer, that 'random' trainer will generate a specific Pokémon. With that in mind, we can learn a new thing:
If I go back to where I teleported/flew, I will have a wild encounter with an 'X' pokémon. But I don't want an 'X' Pokémon, I want to find Alakazam instead...
So we can manipulate the wild encounter by doing 2 things:
1 - After battling a trainer, find any wild pokémon and run. (Just so you know, this new wild encounter will generate a different pokémon because of its special stat., some people capture the wild pokémon just to look at its special stat and check which pokémon will be generated by this glitch)
2 - After battling a trainer, find a wild Ditto and let Ditto use transform. The game makes Ditto copy every single stat of the the transformed pokémon, including its special stat !!! So when you go back to where you teleported/flew away it will generate Alakazam if your copied pokémon has a Special Stat of 149

Not really... you just have to Teleport/fly away from a long range trainer and battle another trainer which corresponds to the pokemon you want... and go back to the route where you first escaped from...

Those are clearly Red and Blue Sprites, but the color is changing as you go through different zones as if it's Yellow. Why is this?
Because I'm playing on emulator, Visual Boy Advance to be more precise, there is an option to make these games colored. Only works this way in this particular Emulator on PC.

If you're going *that* route though, you should consider Trainer Fly + Brock Through Walls. I have a Bike, any Pokémon I want and no Badges, I'm able to roam the whole Kanto Region freely
I even beat the League, again, no Badges, and I can spawn Missingno. Any time I wamt to duplicate Rare Candies, Nuggets, TMs, Stat Boost Items. I'm becoming the greatest Trainer

You must play Pokemon Red or Blue to find Ditto in the same Place as I am. If you're Playing Yellow, Ditto is inside the Cinnabar Mansion, last Floor, where you find the Gym's key.

Get a pokemon with the special stat needed for whatever glitched pokemon you want and use the ditto glitch instead basocallly the same idea but you can catch almost any pokemon

What is "special stat required"? How to get it?
Befire special attack and special defence which is ranged attack and defence. In the old games it was imply called special. Thats what the Special Stat is, attacks and defence that is ranged.
