This Aussie loves this. The band was named after a once little unknown country place not far from here. Every time I hear this it reminds me of that little place that was quiet and peaceful where everything just felt like you wanted to stay. Amazing video and so awesome to hear the legendary song that helped put Little River and Australia on the world stage. 👍☮️👌

Danke für die schönen Erinnerungen, die ihr mit dem sehr schön interpretierten Song bei mir weckt. Der erste Song den ich mit etwa 16 von der "Little River Band" gehört habe. Erst die Streicher, dann der Chor, dann das Intro, das Gitarren-Riff, dann 4 Takte elektrisierendes Solo und dann der Gesangeinsatz der Strophe - das war einzigartig, einfach nur perfekt geschrieben und arrangiert und: wer war verdammt nochmal Dave Briggs? Meine Bandmates und ich hatten den Namen noch nie gehört. Aber schon mit seinen vier Takten Solo am Anfang hatte er uns sofort alle voll erwischt und das Album lief in den nächsten Wochen dauernd und auch in den Monaten und Jahren danach immer wieder mal - Ich komme noch aus einer Zeit, in der man sich mit einem halben Dutzend Teens zum Platten hören getroffen hat. Jeder brachte seine ein oder zwei neuen Alben, für die das Taschengeld pro Monat reichte, mit und dann wurde gehört, gebabbelt, eine geraucht und was getrunken. Eine gute und unvergessene Zeit.
What a TREAT. The original LRB was groundbreaking in terms of integrated harmonies and instrument work. Caught them live in Seoul Korea in the early 80’s and they tore the Sejong Center up! Pure music no BS. These guys capture that almost perfectly. Not an easy group to cover at all, much less this well.
Glenn Frey from The Eagles publicly admitted he considered LRB as the best vocal band in the world. He said this at the 1988 Brisbane Expo live concert while he was travelling with LRB. We were stunned to see LRB suddenly appear on the floating stage tethered to the shoreline right in front of us. LRBs harmonies during every live concert were as good as they were in the studio. A friend of mine was recording in a studio in London while LRB were in the studio next door. They spent the ENTIRE weekend working on the harmonies for one song. THAT is why they were so good. Glad you played the album version SOOOO much better than the edited radio version where they cut the lead breaks out and ruined the song. You need the entire version as it all blends together and in fact you could call it a symphonic piece with all the different moods in it. They were the MOST internationally awarded OZ band far more than the likes of Midnight Oil or that overrated band INXS. What boggles the mind is they are RARELY ever played on OZ radio stations but the other 2 I mentioned often are. The same with ACDC also rarely played.

As an Australian who grew up with this song and love the Little River Band all I can say is well done and a great tribute to LRB.
