It is nice that you have a cozy place to stay while the work on the house is being done. We lived in this house during construction, and it was no fun. I really look forward to the videos of the inside work on the house.
I live in my 28ft 5th full time down to -33C -27F, I put black plastic and reflectix on the ground under the trailer, made a 2x4 perimeter to attach the top and bottom. 1st layer was paper thin and weak it got covered in silicon paint, this way no water to rot the trailer over time, oct 2023 I added 1 reflectix layer, at -33c I used the 1500w heater for 1 hour a day, and the 350w nonstop for months, the under space low temp was +.7C inside was 18C 64F. The trailer is 100% 120V AC power off grid, with LPG gen if needed. Oct 2024, a second layer of Resisto M2V and put a 170w under rug heater in the under space on the ground. So far just using the super safe 170w heater down to -5C 21F, under space was 17C 62F, inside 20C 68F, 4KWH. 2 season trailer let's all the heat through the floor, what a difference no cold spot anywhere. My 183k vid has all the pics and latest vid is the completed, not sure which window to uncover yet. Relectix 101 what I learned, use tuck tape repair tape, it's clear, and stronger stays stuck at -30C to +40C, the inside of the insulation roll has to be the outer to avoid all the folds that let air and water in under the tape, run the reflectix vertical up over the top and down, that way the tape isn't holding it up.If you have a sloped roof, tape up to 8 inches before the roof, give it slack and tape the roof, then do the other side, now you have to fold it over and seal it, watch out for ways for water to run in ,good spot for spray foam. Most hoops will be 33 feet, take the roll to the roof, put in between 2 2x4s so it doesn't roll away, feed it down the side to the ground, next line it up straight and use the ladder to hold it against the wall, first layer tape to the trailer half and half , then 2 more tapes on either side of the first strip, never rely on one strip. Carefully run the tape slack but push into those low spots smooth no folds, if you tape under tension the wind will detach it, after first rain check for leaks, water under the clear tape so you can see it. Reflectix is not Uv resistant, I would cover it all in silicon paint when done should last 10 years. Resisto M2V is $140 48x125' x 3 rolls and 12 rolls of tape per layer for an entire 30ft rv about $600 per layer. Cutting around vents, grills, slides and ladders is tiresome, difficult areas leave a small hole and spray foam it later. The end result being able to heat a trailer subzero for only 4kwh, winter heat with an Eco flow is possible. If you try this and need help just comment on my latest video, I have more info but that is another novel.
Wow!!! We will have to check it out! We never thought that we were going to be living in a trailer, yet we had done it, and we were about to go another one. We did great the last winter. We kept the heater at the lowest setting (39 F, probably 2C) underneath. All went well. The bubble wrap for the windows did great. Hopefully next year our house is ready. Thanks for the elaborate comment.
@@LarchLine Thanks to youtube no one will ever see my vids, past week if you search off grid a new video game pollutes all the results, even though the game has no solar panels.
@bobmonztr I didn't know... I just took a look, and I see what is going on... The game is OFF THE GRID, and I can see some foxy girls trying to impress viewers to watch...
