This song will forever be a part of my story. Two old friends came to visit and I took them to a fav place of mine, a waterfall/swimming hole. I mentioned I wanted for the last year to get baptized but don't know of any pastors in my area and don't belong to a church. They said " come on in, let's do it" I was shocked. They started singing amazing grace and one said "let's go down to the river shall we?" I started singing this song at the top of my lungs in a surreal moment and then I was baptized. I have no real words to describe the gloriousness of that moment. I'm so grateful for Gods grace for a wretch like me.

Haven't been baptized in water yet, but by grace perserverence I have been continually cleansed of unrighteousness and haven't watched any porn, masturbated, lusted in my heart or done any drugs since.
All glory be to God, meditate on the word day and night.
We are not fed by bread alone but by every Word of God

I am 12 about to be 13 year old girl and this song helped me to realize that I do love god. I was raised in the church but this song showed ,e I was ready to be baptized. When I was little I saw Jesus in my house and he told me to go to the water and get to know him more. So the next day I went to the water and heard him speak to me. That changed my life forever. This song reminds me of when I was little and I saw him. If your not a Christian after listening to this song I hope you are looking for Jesus. we've had about 30 new people get baptized at our church (i kid you not) and this all happened after a huge wave of new people came to our church after our Easter program. it was beautiful to see our tiny little church have pews overflowing with new faces and have around half of them come up and confess their faith/get baptized ranging from the Sunday after that Easter program all the way up to now. praise God! ❤

Prayers for you. If I can share, (don't know of this is what you are going through) but for myself, personally, I, for so long tried so hard to please God and others, tried so hard to "Do the right thing" which left me so exhausted, and not much peace, 'til learning through my pastor at church,
Being real and honest with GOD where you are at, (ex. " I'm supposed to be doing this or feeling this way, and I'm not. Why? Please help me I can't do this myself. That's submitting to God and resisting the devil. It's allowing him to do it instead of you trying to do it yourself because He is the only one that can make you righteous. Not us our self, or even trying to do it our own way that's what we think is right, but it is asking God what it is that we believe about our self, Him, or others. After finding out what it is that we believe, asking where did that come from, and then asking him is this true, and if not, would you tell me the truth. I used to try to do Christian things the right things and what I thought he would expect of me, but I wasn't dealing with issues inside as to why I was feeling what I felt and doing what I did. This is only a suggestion of what has been, and is working for me, and I've seen change. Not because I did it but because he did. Not my efforts, but building that relationship with him. Not sure if this is an issue either that you feel like maybe you've done so many bad things that God wouldn't want to talk to you. If so, that's a good place to start asking him why you feel that way. forgive me if I said too much, this is just what I felt led to share with you, but I may help you as it has helped me. I just noticed that you typed this a year ago, have things gotten better? I pray they have, and that God gives you the truth that you need that sets you free. is there anything specific that you are asking for prayer for? that I can be praying in agreement with you as to what you need and what you're asking for. I just saw Jordan perform in the Twin Cities today with the Minnesota Teen and Adult Challenge choir. It was so awesome. I am 71 years old and they got this old stoic Lutheran movin', praising Jesus, hands in the air and everything! I love the Church and I really love the Bridegroom.

This has been my favourite hymn since I was 12/13 yrs old and I'm now 90. I have a Christian radio station on 24/7 and they play this hymn (not this version) at least once a day. This morning I learned that it was a young teenager who wrote the words as a poem after he gave his life to Christ. Surprisingly he died at age 27 yrs but his love song to Jesus has outlived him and will continue to do so till Christ's return for His Church. If you haven't yet, give your life over to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ - the Light of the World. Then let your light shine!

I have trouble everyday in my life. Swearing issues and many more temptations. The more the days go by, the harder the fight. I am a christian and i have to say its NOT easy being one. Being christian isnt a walk in the park, its a battlefield. But you have to stay strong show the devil your an overcomer. Show yourself and the world that you can be a better person by standing up and being strong. You might once, GET UP, twice, GET UP. DONT GIVE UP! Believe in God and in even the toughest situations, he will be there for you. One day i will be in heaven and living an eternity with the lord.

This song came out one year before my baptism. On April 16 of 2016, I was baptized. I remember hearing this song when I was younger, and this song was one of the reasons why I got baptized in the first place. There were many many reasons, but this song is one of those reasons why I chose to take up my cross and follow Jesus

This song is fairly easy to learn for drums. Average pop beat, and kick drum isn't that hard to learn like in jazz...oh drumming for jazz is a nightmare.

I got baptized into the church but then got baptized into the Mormon church. The church didn't acknowledge my baptism so I had to to get re baptized but it was worth it. I have the priesthood so I can hand out the sacrament and baptize the deceased. I can also go on a mission trip and I am blessed to meet the missionaries that got me baptized into the church. I follow the words of wisdom and dont judge anybody and feel 100% better.
I was baptized in a church with just the sprinkling on my head in the “name of the Father son and Holy Spirit” . Nothing changed after that day, and it didn’t take long for my faith to slip, but then, years later, I was baptized in a river in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth… I left changed. Get yourselves baptized properly, it changes you! The power is in his NAME and His name is Jesus!

Fun fact- water coming out as well as blood is actually a documented medical phenomenon called hypertonic shock, caused by how severely Jesus had been beaten! Praise Him for His sacrifice!
