Panarin and Trocheck both had career years, the defense is still not great and has not changed. The only addition is Smith who doesn’t move the needle. I’m not expecting a better season than last year. Really, they’re running it back hoping that they somehow get a better performance after a historic season, and/or hoping that other teams got worse so they can try and goalie their way to a cup. That’s not how you win.
Rando comment, Thank you Jon for introducing me to the podcast world. I was extremely illiterate when it comes to computers and things so thank you again Jon, LGR….
They stayed the same but didn’t address any of their problems. No 1RW ,3rd pair D ( Jones?), no grit or speed brought in. And Trouba is still on this team. He had to go Drury has no BALLS
I think it's a slightly better team this year than last year. I'll take Smith, a hopefully healthy Chytil and Jones over Jack, Wenn and Gus. Not to mention Othmann possibly making an impact
You keep comparing last year to this year you can’t then you are HOPING chytil stays healthy your HOPING panarin can do the same thing your HOPING Laffy can take another step your HOPING kakko breaks out your HOPING for all these things and your saying where better? come on man
@@bxbigshot1809 do other teams not hope for good things to happen? Are the Panthers not hoping that one of their vets continues to produce and one of their young guys steps up?
They had the best record in the NHL last year and were one of the final three teams standing. If the Rangers weren't a serious contender, then how many serious contenders were there last season? Panthers and Oilers and no one else?
@LockedOnRangersNHL love your pod cast. Long time Rags fan. Serious contender not until they can get bigger and stronger on the back end find strength and size down the middle. Zac Jones is not an answer with 2 other under size defenders...Ryan road cone and fox round out a very undersize backend. Igor is the only reason the run went as far as it did. Regular season means little, have to make the playoffs of course. Playoffs are a different contest , it's where perimeter players go to die. I will always love my Rags...been a fan since JP beat the Rags in ot in '75... this roster does not instill confident vibes in obtaining the holy grail of hockey...and fire GD housley for fucks sake
Ok they were better than the year before remember the year before the excuse was they ran out of OXYGEN, this year was again a similar situation i don't care how they played during the season they still failed at what was suppose to be a successful season. Playing great during the season means nothing as long as you make the playoffs and being up 3 games to 1 and fall on their faces leaves a bad taste on everyone's mouth as for Trouba i don't care Schneider played very well when he was out several weeks and that tells you something as for players picked up i guess we will see 11 months from now.
They were up 2-1, not 3-1. And they got beat by a team that was a little better than them. Cold hard truth is 31 of 32 teams are disappointed at the end of the season. I'm excited for the upcoming season. Will be a challenge to make it back that far and beyond, but they still have one of the best teams in the league

Riley Smith, Wennbergs replacement, fine, we could have got Tuffte for 775, come on Drury….

He had balls when he brought in Kane and Taresenko and they lost in the first round

The Rangers a better team?
If you live in an alternative universe.
Do you have a counter-point?
Still not a serious contender
Not by a country mile. 93 and 8 still on the team come Opening Night. Pure comedy.
