A bit of 'pitsaw' action early on! I enjoyed your showing how a simple shelter needs to be a bit refurbished for later use. I really appreciate my Coffey spit. My Thanks to you and to Simon and to Carlisle 195 for introducing it to us. Opinel offers a neat folding chestnut knife: it seems a good deal safer than using a big belt knife for the task of scoring them.
You brought back some great memories, from when I lived in London. I remember those roast chestnuts stands around Christmas on Oxford Street, Thank You Very Much, Andy.

This video is a year old now I see, but I am still enjoying these camping trips. I noticed how I felt watching the end as with all bushcrafting the cleaning up and packing away. Sad is the way I felt. Thanks for the videos. Gets the mind away from the city.

Use the branches you removed to build the other wall to stop the rain and wind. If you have any left put som in front to somewhat inclose you in. Then you will be nice n cozy.

Excellent video Andy 👍. That joint of Beef , on the spit roast 😋😋😋😋😋. Would luv to try that out, two problems. My fishing buddy Mr bear ( Dog ) . An't afraid of Fire 🔥, 1# would yard it off as soon as I turned my back. 2# it would attach Blk Bears, wolf's, cougars , Coyotes & those sneaky Bandits Raccoons. As here in 🇨🇦 , we have to be overly cautious about what we are doing in the bush.
