A few things:
1. So cute!
2. Definitely recommend getting like 20 more burp cloths (I constantly wash those!)
3. Highly recommend getting a changing pad for downstairs too so you don’t have to go up/down steps all of the time when the baby needs changed
4. The blanket on the crib has the baby’s initials (I think). Not sure if you guys wanted that to be seen yet
Yess! I’ve grown up as a very responsible tween, as I have a little baby sister, shes 2. Burp cloths! Oh my goshhhhhhhh defoooo! The changing pad downstairs, they NEEEEEEEED that! I always change her nappy downstairs. Good advice! X
Just a tip for cheaper burp cloths but Walmart used to sale like a 10 pk of washable cloth diapers I used those they were huge granted it's been 8 or so yrs but they worked for everything even messes
Matt and Abby can always change the baby's diaper on a blanket/ towel on the floor or couch.I used the reusable diapers from Walmart as burp rags as well.

I love the nursery it’s so cute!! As an interior design major I definitely think the rug is not the correct size, I would get a larger one and it’s definitely a personal choice on the style of it but I personally don’t really like the grey in it having one with some of the navy blue in it might tie the room together better (: but either way the nursery is so cute!

I am a nurse and actually newborns get their temperature taken axillary!(arm pit)since rectal temperature is very invasive for a fragile newborn. Rectal temperatures come a few weeks-months later.
I just went back and watched your pregnancy announcement video and a couple older videos and you two have grown up and blossomed so much in the last 9 months and I am so happy for you and proud of you two! You’re going to be amazing parents!

Love the nursery, especially all the books he already has. I am an elementary school teacher and it warms my heart to know that you already read a book to him!! Make it a point to read to him every day! Love you guys and can't wait to meet the little guy.

The Hatch is amazing! I love it so much for my 7 month old son. You can set timers and schedules on it so it will go on every night at a certain time, and it’s then off at a certain time in the morning! I love all of the different sounds and lights, we love using the rainbow color and washing machine or white noise 😇 it’s so convenient using the app but it has controls on the bottom too for convenience!

I love the room and I love the rug it’s really cute! I think it matches the room!
LOVE the hatch!!!! It is really easy to use. You will use it for sooo long. My 3 year old and 7 year old both still sleep with a hatch in their room. It’s great when they get older because you can program the light to change to a different color at a certain time. So my 7 year old’s hatch turns green when she can come out of her room in the morning. They all eventually go through a stage of trying to wake up insanely early so it’s a great solution for that.

Looks great guys! Little dude is going to love it! Just a tip, get a little shelf cart to put changing pad, diapers, wipes, burp cloths, a. couple extra clothes, etc. and mommy neccesities (pads, extra undies, etc.) for downstairs that way you can replenish it each day and not have to go up and down stairs for every little thing! Super helpful especially when dad might be out on an errand!

So excited for you guys! I would get a bigger rug, so that when you transition to the regular size crib, the rug is still bigger than it. Plus it makes more of a cushy play area too!
The frida baby nose sucker is my favorite thing ever! I also had a breast pump station in my nursery- it was a simple shelf with drawers with extra pump parts and milk bags disinfectant wipes. It was such a help( only a suggestion to all parents/parents to be)

It looks lovely!!!! Pro tip open all the thermometers , binkies etc and have ready to reach. Have a basket on changing table with wipes handy! We had a wipe warmer too for night time changes.
So exciting! The Hatch is amazing, you can link to your phone with the app and customize settings. When they become a toddler you can set colors that mean they should still be sleeping, and a color for when they are allowed to get up in the morning. Sleep training hacks 101 lol. Definitely have a medical kit in the house and in the diaper bag, that way you aren't taking things out and forgetting anything. Binky clips = life savers. We JUST got Brown Bear with the stuffed animal for my son. Super cute! I purchased a Moon In My Room which has a remote and goes on the wall, that's something you may enjoy for your theme! It's nice to have a small table set up next to the rocking chair or wherever you pump, so you always have a station set up for you. Bottle drying racks are great, baby bottle warmers or water warmers are great, Target "Dapple" products for cleaning are great. I also made a small tote for things I wanted to save like first outfit, favorite toy, etc. OH and a book of memories so you can mark down the firsts. :)
