We rv'd on the fenceline just before turn 3 at LVMS this weekend. Everyone in our camp was commenting on how good your lines were down the backstretch and into 3. And you had some sweet passes! I hear the anger, sadness and resolve in your voice at the end of the video but I really hope you can remember that you're a damn good driver. We loved watching you race...dont ever forget how much you love actually racing. You have the skills and now it's just a matter of experience. Adjust and carry on HD!
I know you may not read this Hailey BUT this was probably one of the best videos you ever put out. The conversation with Chase in the hauler to the end commentary. It was real, it was YOU. You guys keep up the great work and you will do great things. Great things on and off the track.

Everybody learns differently and at different points in their lives. Thank you for sharing your journey. You and Chase produce a tremendous channel here and I can already see it being popular to look back on years down the road.

I really like hallie. But I just don’t think she has the talent to win. I hope I’m wrong but we will see. I mean if she isn’t good enough by now to win in the truck series then she probably will never be ready.

You can only get better by taking responsibility when things go wrong. That is how you learn. I have been involved in racing (Road and dirt) for most of my 73 years. Your are far more along than I have ever been. Keep up the good work. I so want to see you rise to the top. GOD bless
Some of the greatest coaches in history have often said. You either win, or you learn. Acknowledging your mistakes and learning from them shows great aptitude and ability to improve. GREAT video. If you cannot admit your mistakes, you will never learn. If you take the lesson and do better next time, you eventually win!!
Youre right, avoiding wrecks is learned by experience just like everything else, unfortunately thats a hard way to learn, but youll get by this too, better days to come!
Always remember that no one is perfect and we all have our days we wish we could go back in time and change things. Learning from your mistakes and being transparent about your mishaps shows your humility and I respect you for that.
Been becoming such a fan of your crew chief and crew. Would love to see a segment in a video of them a quick intro to them and what they do if they about it. LOVE truck series content!

I’ve talked to a bunch of racers. The one thing the great drivers told me is they did what they had to do what they had to do to win. Better crew, bumping, crashing, whatever it takes. You have that in you so go get it. It’s your time and your the future.

Wow. How cool. This video is so much more than a race recap. It's a shift in perspective that will only serve to make HD a better race car driver and a better human being. (Not that she wasn't already). It takes a lot of pro athletes their whole careers to acknowledge their mistakes and learn from them. This is just so inspirational to see from a young person these days. Bravo.

Youre learning from your mistakes! The worst you can do is repeat them. Truly enjoy watching you race. I watched this one on tv. There was nothing you could have done. Braking different would have just gotten you into it sooner. Keep pushin',lady! Chase, Miller, great camera work as always.

Hailie is a young driver starting her second year in the trucks! Last year no driver got caught up more in other peoples wrecks than Hailie did! Hailie had the worst luck last year and she is gonna keep getting better and better I see her getting a win this year!

It’s a process. You got it. I’d love to get into racing but I have this rare eye disease that prevents me from doing a lot of things but watching the races, listening to those engines roar keeps me going.

I agree with some others that you have to take some responsibility, and now in second year a bunch more, I would say to stay more focused in this, then pit bike things and having fun. U have a second chance at trucks make it work
You are correct. I have subtly tried telling her here that this is the big times now. Not fun and games. If she is serious about this as a career, she needs to concentrate more on the racing and less on the "good times". I have urged her not to make the same mistakes as Danica. She too had a tremendous opportunity but blew it.
There is a definite change in attitude in this video. Ford is spending tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on her advancement. If I were a betting person, I would bet that Ford, her dad, David, maybe all of them sat her down and laid it on the line. She is young and maybe didn't digest the position she is in. This is a job and everyone has to "learn" how to work. In the real world, some need to be fired a few times till they achieve adult dedication. Some never achieve this. The difference is, in the real world, job openings are a dime a dozen. In racing - not so much. Wishing her good luck moving forward.
Sophomore season is usually tough but you are much tougher young lady hang in there you are gonna win

This wreck happened so fast that I see no way braking slow turning left would have avoided it (even if the thought process is correct), so don't beat yourself up for that one. These trucks shot up fast. The pit road exit certainly matters everywhere but moreso, the larger the race tracks. Bad Luck. I would not overthink this one too much and clear the mind and dont let this frustration carry over.

That first thing you said in this video about set up is what Dale Earnhardt did. Set up to where his car wasn’t the best at the start but towards the end he was up front.

Great attitude, sometimes shit happens and all you can do is identify what you might of done different to avoid the result and file it away in your memory bank so that you don’t do it again and move on to the next race which is just what you are doing. Keep up the good work!!!
Loved the Trucks when they first started racing and all the cup guys drove. Sr. Skinner Mark Martin. Lost favor when it became AA training. missed most of the Hornaday days. Only reason I watch now is to watch Hailie Grow. She has the stuff. She needs the equipment to keep her above P15. Less wrecks in the front half.

Hailie I am an old man and a big fan of your whole family. I am not being critical I come from off road desert racing and sprint car racing on the mechanic side I know what you can do and the problems are not based on you when they give you what you need you WILL WIN. Drag the team into the boxing ring and beat their asses until they make it right. Then remind ford they could have had Jeff Gordon, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and soon you will be gone if they dont get their shit together.
We’re all only human. We’re going to fail & fall occasionally, and it’s how we get back up that builds us & ultimately define us. You had my respect before this, but you have even more of it after doing this. This sport needs you, Hailie! And for a while host of reasons. You’re a true hot shoe, and you GET it. I hope y’all know how rare that is in a young driver. Keep diggin’, girl! 👍🏼

Honestly it looked like and sounded like the team didn't give you a competitive truck and spotter let you down during the crash. it looked like you could've avoided the crash altogether. You (Hailie) can only drive what you've been given. Still early in. Good luck in PHX.
