- पिछले हफ्ते #rajsthan की सरकार ने बेहद जनवादी और प्रगतिशील कदम उठाया. राजस्थान की विधानसभा में #righttohealthbill पास करके. इसके तहत राजस्थान के निवासी आकस्मिक घटना की स्थिति में किसी भी सरकारी या चुनिंदा निजी अस्पताल में बिना पैसा दिए इलाज करवा सकेंगे. इसके बाद निजी अस्पतालों और निजी पैक्टिस करने वाले डॉक्टरों ने बवाल कर दिया.
भारत के लगभग 54 फीसद सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों से पढ़कर निकल रहे हैं. यह आंकड़ा 2023 नीट परीक्षा के हैं. यानी आधे से ज्यादा डॉक्टर सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों से पढ़ाई करके निकल रहे हैं. ये डॉक्टर इस देश की जनता के कर्जदार हैं. उनके हॉस्टल से लेकर मेस तक, लेबोरेटरी से लेकर क्लासरूम तक हर चीज में इस देश की टैक्सपेयर जनता के गाढ़ी कमाई का पैसा लगा हुआ है. जितनी फीस सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों में ली जाती है उसका कई गुना पैसा उस डॉक्टर में इस देश की जनता निवेश करती है. तो कम से कम इन 54 फीसदी डॉक्टर्स को राइट टू हेल्थ जैसी योजना का विरोध करने से पहले अपने भीतर झांक लेना चाहिए.
सुधीर चौधरी, रूबिका लियाक़त या श्वेताा सिंह जैसे लोगों को अब कुछ कहने सुनने से ज्यादा जरूरी है कि कुछ बातें हम आपस में समझ लें, कोई देश उतना ही सेकुलर या कम्युनल होगा जितना उस देश का सत्ता वर्ग. #secularism का जवाब विपक्ष से मांगने की हिमाकत करने से पहले तिहाड़ शिरोमणि को अपने भीतर झांकना चाहिए कि उस सेकुलरिज्म को बचाने के लिए खुद इसने अब तक क्या किया है. और अगला सवाल इसे देश के सत्ताधारी वर्ग से करना चाहिए वह इस सेक्युलरिज्म का कितना सम्मान करता है. इसी के इर्द गिर्द इस हफ्ते की टिप्पणी.

An excellent initiative by the Rajasthan government. Mr. Gheloth deserves a huge round of applause. In fact this should be adopted at National level. I can't understand why the doctors at private hospitals are objecting. This is the problem with the elite class. They don't want to see the common man get a fundamental right. By that logic the teachers should have objected to Right to education. It seems both teaching and medicine are no longer noble professions, it is all about making money. Very unfortunate.

Jab govt hospitals, nikkami sarkaro se nahi chal pa raha hai to unko privatize kar dena chahiye as per public-private partnership PPP model ke tahat. apani nakami private hospitals ke upar kyo impose karna. Sabko pata hai …agar private hospitals treatment de bhi de to, govt se paise nahi nikal payega. uske liye bhi sarkari babu ko bribe dena hoga. Most of d private hospitals are small and they don’t hv enough financial resources to pay off their employees salary, spend on expensive equipment and medications.

राइट टू हेल्थ बिल से अच्छा है कि ये जो दवाओं में 80 से 90 परसेंट कमिशन, कमिशन नहीं तो फार्मा कंपनियों द्वारा फॉरेन टूर या महंगे उपहारों की पेशकश, जांचों में डॉक्टरों का कमीशन,फर्जी जांचे इनको बंद करने की व्यवस्था करनी चाहिए।
नहीं ऐसा करके भी हर कंपनी हर कैमिस्ट Dr
झोल करते रहते राइट टू हेल्थ ही सबसे अच्छा इलाज है बल्कि इन प्राइवेट हॉस्पिटल के मालिकों के लिए तो ये बेहद अच्छा सिद्ध होगा बस इसका समर्थन हम जनता का काम है

Private drug industry and hospitals grew caving into public research labs and at the indifference of state to the development of government hospitals. The state witnesses the inequal growth of hospitals to such an extent that generation of money is only the motto in hospitals that is void of any ethics, degrading human being just a clog in money making business. Dead patients are kept for money. It is also to be noted that hospital industry has become so capital intensive that money spinning alone can ensure survival. A middle path seems necessary, instead of friction.
There ain't no middle part, fucking nationalize hospitals already. We don't want Bridge candy, wockhart (whatever) leelabati, nanavati boutique private that treats celebrities and politicians for exorbitant prices. While average human can't even put foot inside it.
It is unfortunate that Doctors don't want to provide medical service to all when Govt want to pay the charges.
Governement doesnt even have budget to pay old bills of private medical hospitals. Old bills in sense the yojanas which are already going on, their bills are still pending and in huge amount. How government is gonna pay these?

Suppose u r cleaning 1 gutter at 500 rs and if I asked to clean my latrine at 1.30 at night and tell u government will pay you but at a fixed rate 100 rs..will u want to clean my latrine happily...now please don't give the excuse of noble profession...blah...blah...blah...

1) This law is passed without consulting the representative of the most affected profession.
2) The profession is indeed considered as Nobel and if one wants, one can find health workers, who work for peanuts

I expected better from NL. they have shown farm-laws as atrocity on farmers but in case of "right to health" they blame docs. I believe that both laws had ( have) very minute flaws ( otherwise amazing step for india) which can be corrected after cool-minded negotiation but your different stance on both makes me question my decision.

But basically what you said, alongwith the fact that the fight is never with the doctors. It's the big corporate hospitals and Pharma and insurance. Doctors don't set the bill. They get their salary or their fees.
And also That doctors not only pay the debt again and again by working in govt hospitals and rural settings as bonded labor for 1 to 5 years depending on the state, after mbbs and after MD/MS; but that the same is never expected out of lawyers/engineers/teachers etc.
And the fact that the average survival age of a doctor is 59 years compared to the country wide average of 67.9, so those 8.9 years ought to be covered in the "Debt". And the fact that doctors have an almost double suicide rate to any other profession in India.
Add to it the increasing fees of medical colleges in pvt, and the deterioration of govt medical colleges as a whole, and the fact that almost none of it seems to be regulated at all.
No wonder we export most of our doctors to countries where they're actually valued. There are more Indian Doctors per unit population in the US than US native doctors.

At the age of 18 , bacche ko neet ug ki exam pass karni padti hai jo ki bohot sare bacche 1st attempt mein paas nahi kar paate..
5.5 saal ka course... Bacche ki umar 24 saal ... Uske baad alag alag rajya mein rural service bonds hai
Minimum ek saal bhi kiya to bhi 25 saal
Uske baad neet pg exam jiske preparation mein 1-2 saal chale jate hai and uske baad neet pg compete karke 3 saal ka pg course ( 3 saal jo ki ek aam insaan nahi kar sakta)
30 saal ki umar mein passout hone ke baad wo doctor join karta hai fortis , ashoka , reliance , maxx hosp, wockhardt mein kam karte hai 1L k aas paas ki salary par.
Lekin gaali doctor khate hai kyuki hospital bohot bill faadta hai jaise ki fortis and reliance hosp doctor ke baap ne bana ke rakhe hai... Lekin soft target ko target karna sabse aasan hai...
300 se jyada doctor ki jaan gayi covid mein lekin media ne ye dikhana kitna jaruri samjha?
Kisi bhi report ki ek side dikha ke sirf target karna kitna asan hai?
Koi logically ise defend kar sakta hai?

इन्होंने समस्या का ना गहरा अध्य्यन किया है न ऐसा करने की इनकी मंशा दिखती है । सड़क के आदमी की तरह सिर्फ चिकित्सकों को माल बनाने वाला कहकर निकल गए ।
अंत में कहना चाहूँगा कि डंकापति का बैंड बजाते बजाते ये खुद कुछ कुछ उनकी तरह हो गए हैं । मुद्दे की गहन छानबीन नहीं की । करते तो चटपटा नहीं पेश कर पाते ।

Very skewed, biased, and even irresponsible, tbh, take on the whole situation:
- Profit of private hospitals is not shared with the staff, only the owners who are often politically connected
- Doctors working in government hospitals don't get their salary on time, sometimes a 3-4 month delay is also observed
- Doctors get beaten by ignorant families of the patient, no security and safety in government hospitals
- Not every government hospital has world-class facilities, students eat sh*t food, make do with bad facilities
- MBBS students are treated inhumanely during internships, overworked, and exploited. Working even 3 shifts a day.
In this video the other side was conveniently sidelined and their argument, demonized.
We definitely need to have a sincere debate/discussion on this topic. I don’t think 5 mins of coverage on it is enough. The total video lenght is 23 mins.
It is not possible to treat this topic in 20 odd minutes. While I also agree that moral lecture on how doctors should be grateful for the education that they receive could have been avoided. Like it is right to health for citizens, it is also doctors right to education.
I am follower and admirer of ur shows and a long time subscriber of newslaundry and a doctor too!! Ur points regarding RTH though might sound true on superficially,sadly is not the entire truth. Also a 15-20 min show with a 5 minute section can never do justice to the issue and its nuances. I would urge you to make a NL conversation kind of show with any of the protesting doctors so that you also can educate yourself regarding the problems we as doctors face on a daily basis and also the reasons for our mistrust of the government.
It appears you have some understanding of the issue and it's nuances. Could you please give some points on this briefly or a hint? I don't see what could be the problem or why the anchor's arguments are superficial in this regard? Primarily, doctors are protesting only because of monetary reasons; I believe, this bill is not going to affect doctors' livelihood or prosperity. It will only help the people, the tax payers when they are in need of utmost medical support. You could also refer to European health model.

I assume by European health model you mean EHIC. Most european countries follow Government Owned and Run Universal Healthcare which basically says come to government hospitals for free healthcare(doesn't cover every ailment eg tooth or eye). Is private healthcare free in Europe?
@@lazyporch First of all, in this case, it's not about private hospitals providing free healthcare to everyone, rather more about healthcare to people in emergency which would save lives. They have problem with that; look how confidently doctor says that they will control the next election. Public would not support these people as the argument is baseless, government is taking good step. About prosperity, doctors will make enough money without affecting their lifestyles, they would still get their regular patients. Also, look up NHS in UK which has both government and private hospitals providing free healthcare to NHS patients. NHS pays the private hospitals in turn. EHIC is more about people traveling in EU. Well all these arguments are if their primary issue is money and nothing nuanced.
