This was a cracking game. A great Kerry team back then. I think one advantage they had over the current one is that they had more of an edge to them and knew how to kill the game. Unfortunately, the current Kerry team are unable to kill off the game. Yes they beat Derry in the last ten minutes of this year's Quarter Final but they were not as convincing as other years. And this is from a Kerryman.
Why don`t you watch the 03 semi, 05 and 08 finals. Tell me what you think of those games. The 03 game was poor enough football but I have never seen better finals than the 05 and 08 games. Would you agree?
Unfortunately, games were you have mass defense tactic, which Kerry now employ, are not very attractive to watch and are designed to win the game more than to be a spectator sport.People attend All Ireland's more for the occasion rather than what goes on out on the filed, case an point being the low attendance at the minor game. Beating Cork is always great and more especially in and All Ireland. We all remember the one we win !
