Anyone notice when mat finishes A puzzle or concludes, he tips his bottle up, but on some he doesnt? He grow to convince us there are no clues but that is a classic Wilbur lie.
I've noticed some confusion in the comments from people who don't know much about ARGs (which is short for Alternate Reality Game; Augmented Reality Games are distinct from Alternate Reality Games since Augmented RGs are games like Pokemon Go, etc. and not an alternate reality game). For this post, assume that all references to the term ARG means Alternate Reality Game. All respect to Wilbur for creating one but I don't think they gave a very good explanation as to what an ARG is. To attempt to explain it more clearly, an ARG is a fictional story that is played out through various media in the real world. Often times, people partaking in the ARG must solve puzzles or sometimes go to real places in the world to solve the mysteries presented in the ARG. While the stories in ARGs are fake, people often interact with creators of the ARGs and any facets related as if they are real events taking place (which adds to the fun!). So no, Wilbur did not kill someone in real life. No, Wilbur was not actually looking for an editor position, nor did they not have any beef with Kai. It's all fictional. As outlined in the video, Wilbur created the Wilbur Soot ARG to tell a fictional story through the unique powers that doing an ARG enables. It hasn't been solved due to the difficulty of the puzzles and other mistakes that Wilbur admits made the ARG almost impossible to solve completely. I'd love to give a summary of the story, but the video already covers that information, so I wouldn't have anything to add. Hopefully for those who were confused, this helps! Also, if people would like to learn more, the YT channels "Inside A Mind" and "Night Mind" cover lots of ARGs.
"Wilbur has out of nowhere has claimed to have invented two of six strings found on a guitar then as well as the editing tool of keyframing" Wilbur: "You don't need to bring that up man" That killed me 🤣👌💕
I think the ARG is really cool, what I find scary is that 4 days ago in my English class we had just finished reading “The Raven” and “Annabelle-Lee” then today I find this video and I had no clue it would talk about those poems and Edgar Allen Poe, Since I just started learning about the ARG, it could just be a coincidence (chances are it is) (Or it might be a sign telling me that I should really think about those poems and how they might tie into the ARG? I have no clue-) But I don’t really cope well with horror and death related things, so this did scare me a bit because I found it strange, I mean I read the poem, then found out about the ARG and the relation to Edgar Allen Poe’s poems, that I just so happened to read in school (Sorry this was really long, I just wanted to share this with someone who might see/read this, since I don’t really have anyone else to talk about this with, so A Thank you to the person who might have sat there reading this)
Game Theory already did two different ARGs, and they were pretty crazy. They didn't have that much of a story, mostly just following a list of puzzles. It involved codes, websites, audio files, his own merch, and so on.
@@yanivrubin4166 yeah, but imagine if Mattpad takes it to the next level. Starts to make a story around an arg and ups the difficulty (since at least one was designed to be easy enough for others to actually solve, even if you are pretty new to args). In one of the videos about their arg, Mattpad mentions a group that is crazy fast and very good at solving args. I think their name is something along the lines of "omega". The man that creates my favorite weekly crossword puzzle said in an interview that he doesnt like solving crossword puzzles. Actually, he has never solved one. He loves making them and sees it as a puzzle in it self. I think MatPat is great at solving puzzles, but I dont think he would be as great at making them. At least not in creating a storyline.

By essentially re-watching the original theory over by watching this, I feel like the name of the woman who left the voicemail (talked about at around 27:00) can actually have her name confirmed. Wilbur claimed to invent the E and A strings on a guitar, and the poem names referenced include "Eulalie" and "Annabel Lee" I have no idea if this was talked about in the referenced massive document on the topic, but the idea comes to mind. "Eula Annabel Lee" wouldn't be a stretch to be a real name.
I kind of find it interesting how the chat immediately suspects that Wilbur has a “disappointed” expression on his face when that same expression could be found in very nervous people
i think the fakir things were more of an angel and devil on his shoulders trying to rationalize and internally grapple with what he’d done, trying to convince himself he didn’t do it and trying to come to terms with it

In a video I watched it’s Wilber singing in a American accent and he is singing about someone needs cpr and he know how to give cpr, he also talks about this persons lungs is giving out he also talks about wanting to find someone like him which all lines up with this Theory which is he killed some one and he doesn’t want people to find out

Wait a minute, did he say murder mystery? Well that’s kinda sus cuz later in the video Matpat reveals that Wilbur might accidentaly kill som1 in that arg…or maybe i’m just overthinking it but what if…
Another thing confirming this theory was Sally the Salmon from the DSMP. Sally is a salmon, something that can swim and breath underwater. And when he became Ghostbur, he doesn't remember Sally the Salmon. Ghostbur doesn't remember sad things. Him not remembering Sally implies that her memory makes him sad. Or angry. Sally is his representation of the girl he killed, and he makes this representation able to survive the conditions she actually died in. This just makes it more concrete that he kills the girl, feels bad about it, and does things to ease his guilty conscience.
My thought it when he says he is cold maybe he doesn’t mean physically and more like emotionally like when people say serial killers are cold as in cold hearted
In German schools, we learn heavy British accented English. Where we have to unlearn to lisp for the first 2 years, we start learning English in 3rd grade and have to start learning lisping to speak proper English. My Grammarly is currently set to American English, since it's easier to understand for lots of people, even though only rare words are not in there, like coulor being color.
What if the girl was the one to push Wilbur off the edge and Wilbur was so startled that he starts to drown and Kai was there and jumps in to save him he's out cold and he is embarrassed and his mind blocks out all recollection of the girl, he wants Kai fired and his job to get revenge and so Kai cannot tell anyone

I have no idea if this was talked about in the referenced massive document on the topic, but the idea comes to mind. "Eula Annabel Lee" wouldn't be a stretch to be a real name.
I kind of find it interesting how the chat immediately suspects that Wilbur has a “disappointed” expression on his face when that same expression could be found in very nervous people
i think the fakir things were more of an angel and devil on his shoulders trying to rationalize and internally grapple with what he’d done, trying to convince himself he didn’t do it and trying to come to terms with it
WHAT THE BRUSSELS
litterally jack sucks at life was one of my go to channels then, and when I saw the video i became invested. not enough to follow along with the arg completely. so when I heard wilburs name again in 2020 i was like WAIT A MINUTE isnt he that editor from that one video from that thing. and no one knew what i meant 😂
The perfect ending would be a morse code to start off his 2nd ARG
I really want to start an arg now

In a video I watched it’s Wilber singing in a American accent and he is singing about someone needs cpr and he know how to give cpr, he also talks about this persons lungs is giving out he also talks about wanting to find someone like him which all lines up with this Theory which is he killed some one and he doesn’t want people to find out
Wilburs fake British accent kills me everytime😂😂😂😂😂
he's literally english wdym
@@oscarpeters5309i think this part :) 14:48
When Wilbur paused to tell chat that he's trying to keep a straight face, and when he said "SHH!" I thought he was gonna follow up with "SHH! Nobody needs to know..."
Matpat is bringing in all 15.3 Million Theorists to the ring to solve your next arg
Goodluck you'll need it. no like actually goodluck they have solved alot over the years so goodluck
wait he said think like murder mystery stuff then corrected himself so what if the game theory is right?
I mean a murder mystery would also be my first thought when thinking of something like an arg
Wait a minute, did he say murder mystery? Well that’s kinda sus cuz later in the video Matpat reveals that Wilbur might accidentaly kill som1 in that arg…or maybe i’m just overthinking it but what if…
@@justasleepysnowflake thats the point
Another thing confirming this theory was Sally the Salmon from the DSMP. Sally is a salmon, something that can swim and breath underwater. And when he became Ghostbur, he doesn't remember Sally the Salmon. Ghostbur doesn't remember sad things. Him not remembering Sally implies that her memory makes him sad. Or angry. Sally is his representation of the girl he killed, and he makes this representation able to survive the conditions she actually died in. This just makes it more concrete that he kills the girl, feels bad about it, and does things to ease his guilty conscience.
Well, this aged well.
Lmao
huh ? What happened

People drink water when they are nervous. He kept drinking water at certain parts. And fidgeting. Drinking water is a great way to hide laughter.

The "british voice actor" is actually a british memner of the theorist team, Tom, for those who dont know
Who is the upcoming new face of game theory! Get used to that voice.
I love both matpat and wilbur and absolutely enjoyed this video
Wilbur's small little moments where he is a massive fan of game theory is just
Time to run this through a ai to try and tell if matpat got it or not

Do you guys know the time stamp of Wilbur reading “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe? I’m trying to look for it!
It's starts around 10:29 :)
This chat be like: “COLDBUR! MURBUR! CREEPYBUR! KILLBUR!” The entire time😂
What if the girl was the one to push Wilbur off the edge and Wilbur was so startled that he starts to drown and Kai was there and jumps in to save him he's out cold and he is embarrassed and his mind blocks out all recollection of the girl, he wants Kai fired and his job to get revenge and so Kai cannot tell anyone
That makes no sense tho?
@@sillyest-moon it does to me I just it was hard to explain white typing
@@RinHD why would he want to get revenge on kai, if he saved him?
@@astralgod6448 probably because kai was still in on the prank. while kai didn't expect the prank to go as far as harming Wilbur he was still part of the reason he nearly died. an while Wilbur wouldn't see it that way, I. Fakier would.

Im now convinced that Wilbur doesn't know the answers to the arg
Wilbur: *looks sad*
Chat: OMFG SUSBUR
Me: angsty-
I’ll try and find the timestamp, but when MatPat talks about the glasses bit, Wilbur took off his glasses, his demeanour changed, then he put the glasses back on, and continued with the no reaction. Is this a hint MatPat is right?
Edit: 24:26 I think
Woah
yeah it is
ur right he had no faciel expression with glasses on and a little smirk with glasses off. I think he was just playing aong though becuz he knew people would over analyes everything. its cool though.
I’m sad that he turned out to be a bad person I really looked up to him and I hope that he can get real help and find peace and get closure for the ones he’s hurt
So your telling me instead of my history teacher playing the Simpson version of the raven she could’ve played Wilbur reciting the raven dang I would’ve learned so much better
