When think about the disadvantages he faced in his K-1 daysEspecially I. The weight classes and rule set-this man is absolutely amazing. The 1st I ever saw to crossover internationally. Elephant Power!

I believe he left Thailand because it was hard to get fights as a bigger fighter, Thai fans preferred the smaller fighters. Even still he had to give up a big size advantage to compete against some of these great western fighters. Much respect to the White Elephant

Chengpuek was a beast. Of the top of my head the only losses I can remember were Peter Smit who he later defeated and Ernesto Hoost when he was probably in the twilight of his career.
Watched the Rufus fight again and that was as brutal as it comes. Even my favourite fighter Rob Kaman couldn’t beat him. RESPECT 🥊

Peter Smit was getting in trouble from Changpuek but trapped him in the corner and smacked his head like a tennis ball with elbows. It was a big fight and I remember the trainers smacking a knocked out Changpuek to wake up...that's not going to work. :-)

Peter is a bit of a forgotten fighter but he wasn’t called Hurricane for nothing. I think that fight was in the Lumpinee stadium. They booed him when he cam into the ring and cheered him out of the ring.

Had to look back. Changpuek and Kaman fought 4 times. Kaman won one of them lost three.

He has the power to kick more than sarmgor and Boukaw but his kicking isn't as intense as Mr.kanomtom(muay thai fighter in history)
