I had a heart attack at 29.. and I still didn't stop smoking... I had my second heart Attack at 33.... then I gave up .. so I can totally relate to this guy .... trust me it will be the best choice you ever make when you give up ..
Thank you Shawn for sharing your story, this series of commercials have really moved me, and inspired me to quit smoking. The strength to get in front of a camera, and know that some may judge you, and speak out anyway is admirable. I wish you the best.
We know it’s not easy to quit smoking, but don’t give up. Whenever you get a craving, think about the progress you’ve made so far. Within 20 minutes of the last cigarette you smoked, your body already began to heal itself. This will continue for the long term, only if you stay quit for good. There are free resources available to help you. By calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW you can speak with a trained cessation counselor, or you can visit smokefree.gov for free online resources.

i just dont get it why people show so much mercy, and feel sorry for people with throat cancer and other diseases caused by smoking... EVERYONE that starts smoking knows the risks! you KNOW that you can get cancer, or other diseases... so when you have it, stop whining about it, you know the risks! and yes, i smoke as well, and yes, i know the risks as well, and yes, it sucks if ur sick cuz of smoking, but stop whining about it..
