Bob Steel is awesome to watch fight. He is dynamite. Him and Hopalong are my favorite cowboys when it comes to fighting.
    🙃☕❤❤❤❤🤠

Gabby is the best sidekick ever. Bob Steele usually did his own fight scenes and he does them well, he's very athletic and switches to southpaw with no problem. Great to see Earl Dwire and a sweet '34 Caddy sedan.

Gabby was a fulltime professional sidekick. I think Earl Dwire and Bob Steele were close friends. Earl Dwire sure made a good heavy in westerns and he made a lot of them.

@@AudioVideoOldies 'Durn tootin' - I can't remember him saying 'darn'. He was so good at that sidekick character because he was a good actor, and he could bring out the littlest details of the character that made him iconic.

Gabby was the greatest sidekick in Westerns. He partnered John Wayne, Bob Steele, Rex Bell, Hoppy, Wild Bill,Ken Maynard & Roy Rogers.

He was also a good enough actor where he could turn it around and play a diabolical villain, like in "Of Mice and Men" and "The Big Sleep". I read somewhere that he said he enjoyed switching it up and playing the bad guy once in a while. But someone my age, the first time we saw Bob Steele was as Trooper Duffy on F-Troop, where he showed he could also do comedy.

Bob's own twin brother was in med school. Their dad wrote their movies when they were kids and wrote and directed this one. S. Roy Luby, who edited this one went on to direct giddyaps on his own.

No music! First up - Mounting a hoese. Check out this rider mounts at 00:20:18. As a young'un, I couldn't do that if I spent a month practicing that move on the livery horses I rode. .. 00:45:20 The horse chase starts . And as the livery people would tell me, that horse you rode earned its oats today.
Now here is the best part of the movie and I have to admit that Gabby makes this movie great. He deserves a lifetime recognition award for all of the roles he played. And finally: Beware! Your family members could be your most dangerous enemy.

A mans worse enemies are those of his own household..giving your twin over to thieves and murderers after stealing from him yourself..jealousy and envy

Must have been a shortage of 'bad guys' back in 30's - same one's continue to appear in Steele's movies. Quite amazing how accurate with pistols everyone is portrayed......... hitting a person on a running horse at 30 yds would be quite a feat for any marksman using a short barrel handgun but no problem in these old flicts watching everybody shooting pistols up the side of a mountain or clear across the hinterland?

I've seen true Identical twins in my real life since I was a child, that were indistinguishable except for personality.
You couldn't do this kind of movie even if you did have MOST pairs of real twins.
But if you've seen the real kind like some pairs I have seen, this movie was NOT DIFFERENT than those boys I knew.
I was just thinking just before I started to read your comment, that Bob's experiences as a Twin, With a Twin Brother, and Being a twin brother to his own twin, must have given him the experience in life that he needed to draw on for this dual role, because IF you've seen TRUE full and complete Real Identical twins, you know what I mean. But you cannot exactly explain it.
Another ACTOR, not the Real Identical Twin, it just wouldn't work, you couldn't "believably" fool anyone in the movie with a person made up to look like one of the twins, not even through the first time they open their mouths and talk, or that they walk across the room.
