Hi there. Yea, some of the same critters for sure. But I've found that many that you find in So Cal deep, are simply found shallower up here. The sea pen was about one foot tall. The water temp in Jan was 44 degrees at depth, 45 surface.
I have dove there 100s of times, I love it! I'm living in Mexico now but I think BC diving is the best diving cold water and all!
