Still surprised Yamaha haven't considered an Indonesian model of this bass model and then hopefully get it up there with the likes of the AT3 and BBNE2 from Japan 😉👌🏻

I really want a bass with that pickup configuration. I have been playing Yamaha basses since I started more than 14 years ago. Even their cheapest basses are great. I have an ERB 300 II (it's an RBX) made in indonesia from 2000s. This was my first bass. Then I bought a second hand Yamaha RBX 800A from the late 80s made of Ash. As sometimes happens with old second hand instruments. I took me long to find a setup that I felt comfortable with. Similar to the setup on the other bass (from which I only changed the nut). The only thing that I personally don't like about this RBX800 is that it has active electronics, which are of great quality and sound. But I'd like a passive tone . ¿Has anyone changed the electronics on this bass but keeping the pickup covers?. Also the bridge is a little bit complicated to adjust but keeps the setup firmly. So this is positive more than negative. I think it is a Gotoh 206 bridge that only a few YAMAHA and IBANEZ basses had. Then they changed it to other simpler bridge in later productions of the model
