The Brian McKnight duet is from when she was promoting her #1s album in 1998. As for Honey and Butterfly, the idea that those remixes would be your introduction to her House music is a shame. She has WAY more impressive tracks. That said, Morales always delivers. Dreamlover, Honey, Fantasy, ABMB, AYNAF, & Heartbreaker are her top tier House remixes. My All, I Still Believe, Can't Take That Away, and It's Like That also have great House remixes. Might as well react to the Remixes album, Disc 1 (2003) for sense of what Mariah brought to the clubs.
happy anniversary to this magnum opus!!! 💖 1. the vocals on "whenever you call" duet simply uses the existing vocals of the original version! but bryan does an amazing job to blend with mariah. their voices are so compatible, and i wish they did more duets! 2. the roof ft. brandy is just pure r&b heaven!!! youre so right, you have to be in the mood for the song, but when you are, nothing really hits it quite like "the roof" does. i actually prefer this new version to the original cuz there are more vocal layerings and new adlibs. the production is also different, and mariah adds whistles to this version. plus, BRANDY!!!!! the vocal bible! obsessed 3. i cant wait for you to watch mariah's live performances in the future! i hope you consider that, and i think you should definitely react to them chronologically? so you can start with her debut era and work your way up. let us know if and when youre gonna do that so us lambs can recommend the legendary performances! 4. yes, the amorphous remix was done for the anniversary! amorphous is a guy on youtube who remixes and mashes up pop/r&b music, and he has done a lot of mariah carey mash-ups with other artists. mariah gave him full recognition by collaborating with him and asking him to do this remix. what a moment! so proud of and happy for amorphous! 5. yes, mariah's remixes are another level of musical genius! she loves giving us an r&b or house twist! she re-records almost all of the remixed versions, although there are some that are purely just DJs remixing the vocals from the original! you should react to the remixes compilation! or you can ask us for some recommendations! the "my all" remix that you heard at the end of the live performance audio is actually from an actual remix that mariah did and its such an expected yet iconic encore to a sexy and emotional ballad. from crying at home to twerking at the club - thats the kind of vibe she wanted to serve and its a yes for me, periodt
1. I'm shook 2. r&b HEAVEN!! cannot get over the existence of this collab. still. lol 3. I feel like live performances are inevitable...probably not too soon though 4. I'm so happy for amorphous. sounds like the achievement of a lifetime 5. cannot wait to experience more of these remixes for myself 🤍
Brian McKnight was one of the biggest male RnB voices of the 90’s along with Keith Sweat and JonB etc you should do men of the 90’s reaction. Also you should do a reaction to all her video live performances they just hit differently when you watch them live. Glad you reacted to this!! ❤❤
The "Butterfly" album was released when I was a teen (giving away my age, lol...) and the impact of this album is something that is unmatched, and one doesn't see anymore (especially in "current" music). The "My All" live version is from VH1 Divas (1998) where she shared the stage with Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion & Shania Twain. Mind you, Aretha only performed one duet that night. "Chain Of Fools" with Mariah.
I hope you can check out the videos for these live performances (no need to film). I just feel like the experience is not complete without actually seeing her hand movements while singing lol 😆. And don't forget the iconic ensemble especially on that My All live ✨
Brian McKnight was one of THE best R&B crooners from the 90s. He’s in the same class as Luther Vandross and Babyface. Brian was known for his smooth tone and his runs. When this duet was announced for Mariah’s #1s album, we KNEW it was gonna be a marathon of runs and smooth tone heaven. Do yourself a favor and check out some of Brian’s biggest singles from the 90s, starting off with Back at One and One Last Cry.
Yasss! Thank you for reacting to these tracks! The Roof with Brandy is just amazing! Can’t wait for what’s to come!! You should really react to The Remixes album, as well as all the other tracks that are not on her album, like There For Me, or even the original vocal mixes, like We Belong Together Remix… they are just fire 🔥!
That duet whenever you call is the only version i knew growing up. Its probably my favourite track of hers ever. Its so perfect i couldnt imagine it not as a duet. Its on the Number 1s album
@@iamcontron yeah i think it probably depends on which one you’re used to. For me having grown up on the duet version. I thought the solo version was missing so much. But could easily be the other way round when your not used to hearing Bryan in there
Love this, so much fun as always! The album, the impact, the legacy...all so iconic. To continue the Butterfly experience, I highly recommend reacting to the music videos of this era - Honey, Butterfly, My All (original & the EPIC "Stay Awhile" remix), The Roof, & Breakdown. If I missed any videos, I know the lambs will add them. Enjoy dahling!
I noticed you haven't reacted to her #1s album (1998) It consist of her #1s in the early 90s plus new hits like I Still Believe (cover), do you know where you going to (cover), sweetheart(cover), when you believe with ms whitney

@@iamcontron omg slay the amount of editing I KNOW you'll be doing is already making me giggle. You're gonna be going ' Ok miss MC I see you I see you ' 😂
My All and The Roof was made to her ex-lover Derek Jeter when she was married Tommy,i understand why she betrayed him,he was even dont allowing her to go outside (meet friends and etc.),when she was free cuz her friends convinced him let her go outside to not just going to work and going back, she met Derek and ending her obsessed with him composing this songs with my fellow brazilian lol Walter Afanasieff!
Can you react on The Dream' My Love feat Mariah Carey. I for one really love the song and I just saw the music video just today for the first time and I kinda wanna know what you think. Is it just me who thinks this song is great?? 🤔 Mariah's runs😍😍😍
Warn you? LOL Obviously you're not familiar with or have never seen the legendary VH1 Divas Live performances where she OPENED THE SHOW!! she also debuted the remix on television, something no one had done before. Also her iconic DUET WIT ARETHA!! etc. What kind of lamb are you? Lol U r forgiven (but you should have known this ) ....
These were all remixes from the 90's - Mariah always released several different singles featuring a wealth of different remixes - I have all of these. She revolutionized the singles industry. Brian McKnight is a phenomenal singer, unfortunately he's also an arrogant a-hole.
Also…do yourself a favor and look up Morissette Amon. Beautiful girl from the Philippines known as Asia’s Phoenix. Everyone in the US thought Ariana Grande was the Second Coming of Mariah. Ari is amazing but Mori is the superior singer between the two. At least in my opinion anyway. Would love to get yours. Mori does amazing covers of Mariah’s biggest songs and she absolutely nails them all. That’s a rabbit hole you won’t mind diving into if you love vocals, I promise you. Speaking of acapella…Pentatonix reactions will def get you a huge bump in followers. Just putting that out there. 😉
@@somespecies which is why he would do better reacting to her EP called Signature, which has only her English language original songs. She doesn’t only do Tagalog. 😉
