- I'll show you how to delete your Facebook account. And Facebook has made this extremely simple, right within the Facebook app.
So, if you download the app to your phone, this process will walk you through the steps of permanently deleting your Facebook account. I'll also show you how to deactivate.
So go ahead and open the Facebook app here, or download and log into your accounts, and then press the menu option right here. Furthermore, settings and privacy can be expanded. And we need to go into our settings menu. Now, on this page, go to personal and account information and then click on account ownership or control.
You'll also notice deactivation and deletion on this page.

I can't delete mine. It tells me my password is wrong when it's not. If I try to change my password, it won't allow me telling me to choose another???

Thanks, dude! It worked. Why does FB or Meta, whatever it calls itself, make this extremely difficult. Should be one tab right upon account home page. Should not have to search for it!

I have two accounts on Facebook. I have my personal account and I have a business page in that same account. I want to delete my personal account yet still keep my business page account ONLY. I am afraid that if I delete my Facebook account it will also delete that business page account too. How can I just keep that business page account? Just find "Access your information "if you can't find the personal and account information tab, then click "personal details",then "Account ownership and control " then click "deactivation or deletion", then choose the account you want to deactivate or delete. Might want to add to your video about closing account of deceased family member. I don't have the password, so I able to find information that I'm going to jump through hopes to delete my mothers account. Otherwise, your video was very helpful.

They gather all this personal information based on users likes and dislikes, hobbies, types of friends you have, your religion and more. They then keep it, only God knows how long, and they can see what groups of people in this country are (against or for) certain political or social state of this country And they can plan or plot and share all this gathered info with whoever demands or asks it of them. Like for example - the government. …. Marketing. Etc

I figured out how to delete my facebook account and meta by myself. Why did I come to your tutorial you ask? That answer is simple, I feel like there has been a massive weight lifted off my shoulders and thats all I care about but if nobody cares I'm cool with that too.
My account is locked. They refuse to let me access it unless I give them personal information that they are not entitled to. I decided to just let them keep the account locked and not ever use fb again. Now I am getting emails saying that my password has been changed by someone in some other state that I have not set foot in, in decades. I am guessing that someone who has my password has unlocked my account and is using it for nefarious purposes. I feel like this is fb's fault and their responsibility if perverts and criminals are using an account that they took away from me. What can I do?

For people who can't find the account ownership and controls:
"Access your information ", then click "personal details",then "Account ownership and control " then click "deactivation or deletion", then choose the account you want to deactivate or delete. Sorry if my explanation isnt great😅
I find only about 1 in 50 of these types of videos to be useful. This is one of those 49. There is NO account ownership and control. I have given Facebook the 30 second rule. That being I count up to 30 slowly and if I have not found a way to delete the account by the time I reach 30 the account stays and I end up with more than one. It is up to Facebook to MAKE THINGS EASIER.

Hello thank you for your video. Very informative. I have question , i accidentally press the delete option. I received email from fb that it will be deleted on June 8 , if I want to cancel my deletion request , I just need to click the GO FACEBOOK , I clicked the GO TO FACEBOOK and open my account with password. I did not see or click ANY cancel deletion link . I used the facebook again . What does it mean ? It means my request is cancel ? Hoping for your reply

For people on the latest update that doesnt look like the one on the video, go to men>settings and privacy>settings>account center>personal details>account ownership & control. You will see it there. I was also struggling but i figured it out
