    Awesome vid - they look great on you Chicken Sendies! We delivered them way later than expected, but better late than never, right??? It's refreshing to hear your thoughts about supporting a new entrant in the MTB arena, that was our original goal when we launched the shoe. Since then, there has been one or two other brands that have sprung up - including a shoe made by one of the largest brands in the industry (starts with F and rhymes with Socks). It seems they decided to 'magically' launch their shoe earlier this year (almost 2 full years after our campaign went live), probably in direct response to our launch (and because they couldn't stand to be upstaged by such an unassuming small fry :P). I've seen a few pairs ordered by some of our other competitors as well.
    Regarding future products, we are certainly planning on launching future iterations based on the rider feedback we've received - including a clipless version and one with a slightly improved fit (current reviews have been mixed regarding the height of the toe area and overall length), as well as smaller sizes for women (US Women's 5.5 & 6.5, or Men's 4 & 5), and potentially half sizes down the line. Be on the lookout for those to be announced on our website www.rideanamoly.com.
    Anyway, hopefully they were worth they wait - thanks for the positive comments and glad to hear you're stoked on them!!🤙 Btw, do you mind if we share a link to this video on our social media pages?

    I picked up mine today. It was -10C I had Defeet Woolie Boolie Mariono wool socks on, I did not freeze, but did
    They fit well, at first i was not sure, but wore them for some rides, and I definitely have enough room for my toes. Plenty room above the pinkie toe too, wide enough, not too wide.
    I also noticed discomfort at the outside ankle, it's stiff. The inside does not do this, the arch below the ankle feels stiff, it leads to discomfort, but the inside has a taller side, so it's comfortable. But with ankle braces it's not an issue. If the braces adjusters properly.
    The shoes are shorter, but as wide.
    5:24 I confirm that, they are lighter than Ride Concepts, Finally I can have shorter shoes.
    The first shoes I had that smelled like a shoe store.
    I took them out for a test ride did some walking too, sole feels stiffer at the ball of the foot than Ride Concepts, Five Ten.Also they feel a bit awkward and stiff at the top when I bend the food a lot, but when walking normally it's not noticeable, but if I simulate walking up a super steep climb, I feel it. But that might break in I don't know. But Ride Concepts Tallac had similar thing if bent a lot, but those made clack clack sound, Anamoly shoes don't, just stiff leather feel. Once I had the shoes on for a while rode with them they broke in a bit, so felt a bit roomier. Like new shoes usually to do.
    They seemed grippy enough on my floor and the grocery store floor. But of course on wet grocery store floor it's a slide even with the stickiest rubbers.
    I'm not sure on the grip on the pedals yet, but was decent enough to not slip so far. but not taken it offroad, jumping.
    These will be nice for spring and autumn, when it's wet, but no super deep puddle and no deep snow.
    But I should try different shoes. Five Ten TrailCross GTX, has super soft toe protection, so soft it won't protect the toes at all, the left has too soft, it's stiffer at the tip but useless.otherwise the shoe is perfect build quality. Weird, there's always one thing wrong with five ten shoes it seems to various levels. But great for walking, and grip is great. Adjustable gaiter, but no lace loop, silly. Gaiter is a must in deep snow. Not had many rides, but I see damage on the toe protection, looks like pedal pins cut it slightly, seems fragile.
    For slow pace and super cold rides I got Northwave, gaiter, but not adjustable, shoes for big heel, ankles, too big for me, toe protection is as good as Anamoly, similar stiffness, hardness, but super stiff sole at the ball of the foot so horrible to walk in, super stiff sole all over. But at least I have shoes I will stay toasty in even with slow pace -10C, even, even in -5C and fog which feels colder than -10C.
    But I will try different shoes.

      @HUKIT759 We've also seen that video - and it unfortunately seems biased against us. Most of our backers and early riders have been absolutely in love with the grip, some saying they're the best riding shoes they've ever worn, and others that they're much better than 5.10's "Stealth" (which changed formula years ago after the Adi acquisition, with many reporting soles completely tearing apart or de-soling after only a few rides, FYI). Anyway, we're a small upstart company and don't have the big bucks to spend with Vital like some of our much larger competitors do - and I hate to say it, but this likely influenced their staff's view towards us. Anyway, looking forward to seeing Chicken Sendies' ride report!

    I'm really interested in these shoes. Been following them the last few years since K*ckst*rter. Didn't get a chance to back them because I wanted to see real-world testing and reviews. I'm in need of new mtb shoes and was hoping to see your ride review video. Are we to understand since it's been months since you mentioned the on-feet review video was to come out and hasn't, that they didn't live up to expectations? Genuinely curious...

    • @chickensendies
      @chickensendies  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sadly it has just been a rough time for me to ride here in IL. The freeze thaw and just over all winter has not allowed me enough time to get a decent review after several rides. For just a short "review" I do like them and think they will make very nice mtb shoes!

  • @mtbboy1993
    @mtbboy1993 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I recently tried Endura Burner mt500 horrible fit, no room above the toes, very tight, also shoes are too firm for walking. I'm still looking for proper shoes for snow. But Only option that might be suitable is Vaude Winter something. If I try those I would be out of options. No idea if they are good. And I see for extreme low temps 45NRth has options. but that's boots.
    But for conditions where I won't get the socks soaked get water in the shoes, like in deep snow or deep puddles, I will use the Anamoly shoes, will be nice for the spring. I hope for more shoes with this fit, but the ankle area needs improvement to not cause discomfort, I use braces so it's not an issue.

    Still waiting for mine. I recommend not using cheapest shipping (Asendia), It's been 3 weeks and still not arrived yet. Horrible tracking. I suspect they wait until there are enough packages and then ship by ship. not plane like other packages I got in the past. Slowest shipping I've ever experienced apart from ordering stuff of amazon shipped from China. I don't know what other options are. But Posten(Norwegian postal service) has the tracking number detected but not tracked by them yet. I usually never pay for premium shipping as standard shipping usually takes few days even from USA, and definitely in European countries, and from Germany, Denmark, Sweden it takes 2 days. Probably best to ask so you won't get a nasty surprise like me. I guess it might take one more week. But reviews of Asendia on trust pilot are horrible, same issues all over and more. But I did not need shoes, I have shoes for all conditions now. But I wanted to try them for sizing. If they fit I might buy more shoes from them If they will make any other models.

    This will defenitly not breath well. So more autumn, spring shoe when it's wet but not deep puddles or snow, then gaiter is needed.
    I guess the competition is Ride concepts TNT. Not waterproof but almost as it has vents. So are these actually fully water proof or just the non vented area? The wideness is interesting, as I am 42 length wise but have to wear 44 with Fiveten, Ride concepts. I have Fiveten trail cross GTX which have gaiter, it's Goretex, I bought them as the Northwave Multicross GTX has a horrible sole. Vibram Fort William, they did not grip unless I stood or pedalled. Ride concepts grip well with the 4.0 rubber, the tow protection is much better Fiveten.
    I had to buy fiveten again as there were the only brand offering shoes with gaiter and good grip, water and wind proofing. But no insulation unlike the Northwave.
    My fav summer shoe so far is Ride concepts Tallac. Breathable summer shoes, 4.0 sole. Only complaint is they make clack clack sounds when walking.

      That's size 47 in EU sizing. I am more of a 42 length wise but width wise I am 44, so have to use 44 as I have 11cm wide feet so wonder how these will fit.

    • @christopherarmstrong2710
      @christopherarmstrong2710 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @theshedMTB hey there, this is Chris the founder / lead designer here - we actually were originally offering them in size 14, however the mold tooling for just that one size is $2,250.. therefore we unfortunately were unable to hit that mark and go to production with size 14 or size 15, since we only received a total of 4 or 5 pre-orders total for both sizes.
      There is a silver lining though, as many of our backers have reported them fitting up to one size larger than standard - that means a size 13 would fit closer to a 14. So you might just be in luck! Unfortunately only some are reporting the size to be one size larger, and others claiming they're two sizes larger than what they normally wear. We've been collecting tons of data points, but so far it's inconsistent to say the least. We do make them with a wide toe box, which I believe is the reason some have been reported them to fit so large (especially if they have a narrower foot shape).
      I'd recommend trying them on for yourself, and if they don't fit, feel free to return them and we'll cover the cost of return shipping. Since this is our first production batch, and we're trying to get the word out, feel free to use promo code 'earlyrider' for 30% off on our website! 🤙 www.rideanamoly.com/products/anamoly-mountain-biking-shoe

      @@christopherarmstrong2710 thanks for responding to me so direct like that, but I've been through this with other brands before that they felt it would fit 14 and they were really size 13! I've been just wearing Vans and it's been working for me but if something becomes available in size 14 for real I will probably try it! I do understand the high cost and limited demand however .

      Update Chris reccomended I get size 9 as these are wider than other shoes. ''Since you mentioned you wear a US 10 in other brands, and since we’ve gotten a ton of feedback claiming our fit is on average a half size too large - up to one full size too large (length-wise) in some instances - I’d recommend a US 9 for you.
