ABOUT ME:
I’m Liam Harrison, Bolton born and bred. I’m a lover of Golf, life and laughter.
Started Golf 12 years ago after packing in football when i was 28 due to a back injury.
I started the TH-cam channel as a laugh and a Wim, to make me practice but that went out the window as i started vlogging, loving being on camera but more so the interaction with my #golfmates.
In 14 months i have seen the channel evolve and become the only real golf community on TH-cam which i am extremly proud of.
I would like to thank all the #golfmates that have been with us and supported us and the channel from the start. Also not forgetting our new #golfmates that may have only just come across the channel.

Liam, you are an absolute legend. Well done, Josh!! You had some beautiful shots today. You will soon get more comfortable around the greens, and it's better to putt long than short, at least you are giving yourself a chance for the cup. Liam, thanks for the video. Well done YMJ. When you get on to green with severe undulation you get a better understanding. You will often see different golfers read different lines on an almost flat green, where a straight putt will do. Keep it up Josh, I am enjoying watching your journey. Top man Liam!

Very nice Josh! Great help from caddy Liam also. One thing I noticed that will help Josh immensely is shortening down on the grip when pitching and chipping. It’s almost impossible with a normal grip to have any feel. Great video!
Class act Liam. Josh is hitting the ball on a different level since his fitting. Had an idea for the greens when he is practising. Bring a small notepad. Instead of asking him where he sees the line ask him to draw it out as he sees it. That may help him to visualise the line then rather than saying if its left to right or right to left. I even get confused saying it!!!!

Amazing stuff Josh. It's a joy watching you swing those full shots, especially the driver. There's many, including myself that could learn from that little pause at the top of your back swing before you start the down swing. I think it helps with a more controlled start to the downward swing which in turn helps keep the club more on line. Brilliant stuff.
I thought you putted well Josh. It was only the pace that let you down. Just practice your pace for two hours a week on your local club's practice green and if you practice your reading don't place more than one ball at a time from the same spot. I use to do that until a pro asked me what I was learning from the second putt.
Having said all that I wish I was as consistent as you Josh...it's a real pleasure watching you play and enjoying the sport so much.
Superb man. Love how u are helping josh through his development. Not only helping his golf but also his confidence and social skills👍. Get him on the practice putting green as much as he can, give him some fun practice drills to work on, thats how the wee superstar will learn most. Respect👍

Liam, you and Josh are taking over the golf TH-cam channels. The last few videos with you and Josh have been absolutely brilliant. He's striking the ball well off the tee and the fairways, but the short irons, chips and putts will come with time, practice and feel. You're doing a wonderful job with confidence and friendship. The two of you are making a much bigger statement than golf. As others have said, this is about Life, Friendship and Relationships. I've said it before but I'm so looking forward to spending the week you you two and all the mates in Orlando next month. Cheers!

I wish I had the GIR rate that young Josh has. He has obviously worked hard on his swing and it shows. I don't know how much editing has to do with it but we hardly ever see Josh take any practice strokes before putting. A Dave Stockton tip that helped me might work for Josh. 1) stand behind the ball facing the hole and pick your line. 2) while facing the hole take several practice strokes ONLY to determine the pace needed to sink the putt. 3) Walk to the ball while eyeing your line and keeping the swing pace in mind. Address the ball and pick a spot in front of the ball (6 inches?) along the desired line. 4) Take one last look at the hole from your stance, look at the ball and ROLL the ball. Do not HIT the putt. Do NOT linger over the ball (which can lead to tension or useless thoughts). Using the pre-planned pace just let it go aiming at your spot. Chicken and rice...Life is Life. Hope this can help Josh or any others that suffer negative thoughts while putting. For me, having a system seemed to give me focus.

It’s nice to see all the encouragement you are giving Josh, golf is not all about bombing it long, I have a little note book in my golf bag with little tips in it, may be Josh could write all the help down, I don’t mean war and peace for notes, putting, Don’t rush, pick your line, pace. I read mine while other people are playing. 😀😀🏌️🍻🇨🇦
Years ago in an issue of Golf Digest they did a little experiment. They chipped from just off the green with the pin in and out. The overwhelming opinion was KEEP THE PIN IN!!. That ball would have rolled off the green if it wasn't for the pin. So Josh did the right thing.

Liam...he's hitting that ball really crisp...he is just a little bet anxious with the putter which we all are..practice with reading and speed and he will be making some more putts..so proud of him, he's got the desire in him...well done!

Liam, help Josh nail down each distance with every club in the bag at the range, then jot the yardages down on some small stickers and stick them on the back of each shaft just below the grip. That way the right yardage info will always be to hand for every shot when josh needs it. Lovley striker of the ball Josh 👍🏻

Josh I bought some astro turf and made a 15ft putting mat for inside the house, marked it up with 3ft markers and just put on a night time to get my speed control, works a treat mate and great on bad weater day for a bit of practice. Cracking vid guys

Another great vid. When I had a gap session I purchased small round stickers and wrote my full swing yardage , three quarter swing and half swing on each sticker. I then stuck them to the top of the shaft of each club, with a bit of clear tape to help protect them. I now have three shots I can depend on with each club as I know how far I can hit each club without trying to remember. This also helps when I don’t want to full swing every shot. With my Garmin watch for yardage and the stickers I always know what club I need to hit the yardage, I just change it up when the weather dictates. Hope this helps? Your amazing with josh its brilliant how you have taken him under your wing he seem really confused when he gets on the greens I think he could do with a trip to a putting teacher and see the lines with lasers a bit like you see on the tv . He hits the ball really well off the tee and fairway to the greens is h/cap will only drop when he gets it right around and on the greens . Great video Liam

Brilliant! With Joshs putting, you’ve picked this up before, but when he’s lining putts he isn’t getting far enough back away from the ball where he’ll get a better view, he’s almost lining himself up from above the ball, not easy, also have him point his club at target before walking into the shot and hitting, get some distance between himself/ball while picking targets/picturing the shot he wants to hit. I’m loving these vlogs with josh, keep up the good work mizuno man 💪

Try the Aim Point putting method Josh - using the feet to help you judge slope. I’ve significantly reduced the number of 3 putts I make, which was a lot! Best of luck. I wish I could hit as consistently as you!

Hi Josh. The best tip i can give you to help judge the power you need on a putt is to look at the hole on your practice swings. So when getting ready to putt spend more time looking at the hole and less time looking at the ball. Good luck bud.

To help Josh’s putting I feel a shorter length (just chop it down a bit) so he’s over the ball more which will help, as he’s a tad too upright.
Brilliant Liam, got a tip for that putting with Josh. Go on a practise putting green, 9 holes, count them as par 2s. You putt first Liam, then lowest score gets honour. Play for a pint. Josh will see the lines better, it's a good competitive way to lag it up. Used to do this with my lad, it works. Josh, challenge Liam in this game of putts..for a pint, or a coke 👍

Practice your putting and learn how to judge the speed of greens at different golf courses. All of this will come with experience. The more you play...the more you will learn. I like to look at the shape of a green as I am walking up to it. It gives me a chance to see where the hole is, and how the green is shaped around the hole. Is my ball below or above the hole...does it look like my putt will go right to left...or left to right? Is there more than one break from my ball to the hole? You will also learn to tell the difference between the different types of grass...some are faster, some can be bumpy...etc. You will always learn something new when playing golf Josh!! It's what I love about golf.
