(Part Four) Adjustments to the hammer spring for the final tune

- In this video I get towards my final tune. As soon as I have a new selection of different pellets I can then confirm that all will be well under the 12 ft/lbs legal limit and can complete the final total shot string test.
The results from yesterday were an average of 10.9 ft/lbs with JSB Heavy weighed 18.1 grain JSB. In todays test I had an average of 10.4 ft/lbs with Air Arms Diabolo Field weighed at 15.6 grain pellets. The JSB Hades at 15.89 grains are more efficient than the two above, but having run out, I now expect that once the new batch of Hades arrives within the next two days they will average around 11.4 ft/lbs, as they seem more efficient, so I have now held off on winding the power up until they arrive.

Hi mark,you're nearly there mate,I know it's a pain adjusting and getting it right but I think you nearly got it sorted,talking of pellets I have noticed the Jan 18.13 GN pellets are a little hard to get,not many places got them,I shoot them all the time through my air ranger and usually get them from is ramsbottom but they not had none in for quite a while now so I got some from the wolfman store who is local to were I am here in Norfolk not a bad price delivered,perhaps with all this covid stuff going on a lot of sellers not stocked up but hey ho,,anyway back to your tuning,,I think you've done a great job with all the adjustments and fiddling around with everything to get the result you have,,knowing what to do and how to do it as you do is a big bonus as well,,good for others who have the same rifle and want to know how these things are done,,nice one mark,,look forward to next one with the next lot of ammo,,,👍👍👍
Yes, I've noticed all the shops seem to be running out of JSB pellets. I ordered some JSB 15.89 today, waning the 5.52 head, but had to make due with 5.51 instead. Not sure if it's the manufacturer, or that everyone is buying extra because of the lock down. I ordered some more JSB 18.3 grains today. did you turn the reg, down. would that not limit the air being released there for no matter how hard u hit the exaust valve u will still get same result, would opening the reg slightly then limit the hammer spring. give u the result ur lookng for. have a look at the h/n hollow points my hatsan loves them, and the s200. they not to expencive too. £8 ish on ebay in 177 10 ish ,22 atvb jim

Hi again when I got my r10 bsa this week it had the same issue. I ended up turning the registration up half a click and then backed off my hammer spring? Just a thought. Nice to see your regimental badge on some of your tops bruv 😊👌

Did you have a look at the jb weld mod on the air cylinder valve ports? I'll be probably be doing it on mine when I get time
I haven't j b weld the ports, although I've seen it done. It would help focus the direction of air flow I suppose.
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 if I ever get round to it I'll try and record the results to see if its worth it
