All of the cats in certain countries like this one have broken tails. When I lived in Hong Kong all the cats there as well. Apparently they break the tails of cats to ward off evil spirits. I don't know if that's the case here but that cat wasn't born with it's tail like that.
He needs to cling to whoever is going to be the mother figure for at least 3 weeks until he is comfortable before you just put him on the floor. Let him cling until he's ready to start venturing away a little bit. If your going to keep him at least take care of it properly. By not allowing it to cling you are completely denying him his instinctual behaviors.
What, precisely, do you think is the point of discussing its needs and instinctive behaviors? The only scenario in which its needs could be met and its instincts could be both compatible and validated with/by its environment and the other inhabitants would be if it were still with its mother tree-rat, living in the wild, as part of her tree-rat troop. Once the mother is caught/shot and the little goblin poached and paid for, that's all out the window. Now it's nothing, which is the same, or worse than, being dead. It will always be too wild because the instincts are preprogrammed and irreversible. Thus, it can't be a pet or a person (in spite of all the abysmally-absurd, absolutely-aberrant, astoundingly-asinine & astronomically-anomalous anthropomorphism & perturbing-prevalence of prolifically-propagandized, purely-puerile, perversely-preternatural primitive-primate-progeny-personification fueling the "baby" monkey maternal fantasy-focused-fetish-fascination-fixation-fanatical-fanclub on countless TH-cam channels & videos). Nevertheless, it will never be wild enough, due to lack of the survival-skills, abundance of species-specific socialization, wariness of humans and predators, environmental familiarity, understanding of the hierarchical social structure, the didactic, corrective, affirming/confidence-building & other crucial formative experiences, stable sense of self/identity, etc, etc, which are gained through imitation of the mother and troop members, social interactions across the span of the hierarchy, play and recreation, feeding/foraging and so on. An unaltered, undiminished state of wildness, which only develops in the absence of human interference, is essential for the little tree-rat to live the life nature intended for it. This is also the only life suitable for it, as all life forms are highly evolved/specialized over countless generations in order to fulfill their role and occupy their niche within an ecosystem & a food chain. Nature is incredibly powerful, but also quite fragile. That is why humans should not interfere with it. This little rodent has already been irreparably altered from its natural state, so everything else is a moot point. Whether it is snuffed out, "re-released" (meaning dumped at the edge of a forest completely foreign to it) or permanently chained to a tree in the dirt patch out front of the shanty-hut when it's usefulness for "baby" monkey-maternal-mania-material is spent, is immaterial. It's dead already :D get it?
@@tremainetreerat5176I respect that, even though you’re obviously averse to these monkeys, you at least see they play an important role in the ecosystem.
