    This tape is gold. I didn't know JLP was that good with the guitar. I mean I knew he played rhythm whilst singing but damn, that Hendrix rendition was incredible!

      he got even better after this, but then sadly he died, his solos on their last albums are works of arts in themselves as far as I'm concerned, I guess some may call them wanky, but I don't think so
      I mean they are there partly to cover for the fact that his vocal chords are so damaged by that time that he can't he really sing like he used to, so he sings using the guitar for the most intense parts of the songs
      big fat loss his death, yeah yeah the guy couldn't sing in key live but singing is also about acting and jeffrey could act, he's also just an interesting well read weirdo who knew a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff, consequently his lyrics are way above the usual clichés you get, it can be hard to hear what exactly he is singing sometimes but if you look up the texts and really try to understand them they are oftentimes brilliant
      have you heard his one rap song? its not bad either quite the opposite
      man there's never been a band this dionysian since
