As for other Dark Brotherhood members, there is one other possible member. Roderic Pierrane. He lives in the Imperial City, Talos Plaza District. In his basement, he has a Black Hand banner. Whether this was unfinished content or left behind on mistake, it's still something to think about.

I have always wondered about this but never put thought into it. After so many years of the game being released and the same videos being made over and over again, you are making fresh content.
@@ABardsBallad yeah bro, short videos talking about head-canon things is always enjoyable. I've often wondered about the other sanctuaries, because Lucien touches on there being other families, yet we never see them. I feel that both crime factions of the thieves guild and dark brotherhood being on hard times is kinda confusing with skyrim because war means business for those two. It feels like they wanted to excuse not having more families in skyrim by making astrid an authoritarian leader
I would also guess that Bruma and Leyawiin house two of the other Sanctuaries, mainly due to J'Ghasta and Alval Uvani having residences in those cities. I'm not too sure about there being one in the Gold Coast region any more though; personally I would guess that there's probably one around the Chorrol region. We know that Mathieu Bellamont was a Silencer for one of the Speakers, but we don't know when he became a Speaker. We know of three Speakers at the start of the game; Lucien Lachance, J'Ghasta and Alval Uvani. I would guess that Arquen is the fourth Speaker. She's the one that leads the rest of the Speakers to the Night Mothers crypt in Bravil, she basically acts as the de facto leader of the guild at that point. The dead drop you get to kill her also directs you to ask around the Grey Mare in Chorrol, so its possible she has a headquarters around that region. As for the other two Speakers you see at Applewatch, I'd say that since Belisarius Arius says most of his time is spent on administrative duties, he was probably an Executioner in one of the other Sanctuaries, either the leader or a similar role to Vicente Valtieri. Banus Alor seems like he's another Silencer, but might be a more recent promotion, since we killed two Black Hand members who weren't Speakers, which leaves the player and Mathieu to complete the four Silencers of the Black Hand. Although Arquen does mention that even the Listeners successor is dead, so maybe Shaleez or Havulstein Hoar-Blood was originally going to succeed Ungolim as the Listener. Looking at Cicero's journals, he mentions two other Sanctuaries around Tamriel, one in Corinthe and one in Wayrest. What if the Speakers also oversee Sanctuaries in neighboruing provinces? J'Ghasta could be the Speaker for Bruma, Falkreath and Dawnstar, Alval Uvani could oversee Leyawiin, Corinthe, and any potential Black Marsh sanctuary, and Arquen could oversee Chorrol, Wayrest, and any potential Hammerfell sanctuary. Lucien might be attempting to get some sort of a foothold in Morrowind, who knows
Very interesting points! Yeah who knows for sure! A few other people have brought up the point over the speakers overseeing other sanctuaries throughout Cyrodiil, so could be on to something!
Unlikely some parts: Oblivion lore makes is that there are 7 Speakers, not 5, but only 3 Silencers. The 7 Speakers are Lucien, Arquen, Belisarius, Banus, Mathieu, J'Ghasta and Alval. The Silencers would be you (Lucien says during the Purification the last one was recently killed), Shaleez and Havilstein... The only logical concusion would be that J'Ghasta and Alval were Silencers, not Speakers.
@@schuringleon3207 "The only logical concusion would be that J'Ghasta and Alval were Silencers, not Speakers." You're forgetting that they both have Black Hand hoods and robes stored in their houses. Instead, you have been systematically killing off all the members of the Black Hand! J'Ghasta, Shaleez, Alval Uvani, Havilstein Hoar-Blood -- Speakers and Silencers all. And Ungolim... the Listener himself!" It seems far more likely that both Belisarius Arius and Banus Alor were recently promoted just like the player and Mathieu Bellamont, which is why Arquen pretty much takes the lead when you go to visit the Night Mothers crypt
One thing worth noting is it’s completely possible sanctuaries move from time to time as we saw in Skyrim. Also it’s possible the idea that a sanctuary has to be run by a speaker may be a bit of oversell from the characters. Considering the events of Daggerfall we find out they have a “guild hall” which seems about the same as a sanctuary in every damn town and city. That being said if a guild hall is different it could be the case that the speakers may live in Cyrodill but operate in other provinces and may only have a couple of true sanctuaries in the province, the rest being guild halls which wouldn’t need a speaker.
