  • www.dickblick.com. Georgian is a high quality oil paint at an economical price. The lightfast, permanent pigments are finely milled for easy blending. Georgian is carefully tested for consistancy and there is no color shift between wet and dry paint making color matching a breeze! This product can be purchased at www.dickblick.com.

I like this paint, I have Old Holland, Micheal Harding and Vasari on hand but I like to play around with Daler Rowney for experimental stuff.

I like the Georgian colors I have. The burnt sienna is a bit more orange than the other brands I have in the same color, which is actually kind of handy.

I like these paints a lot, but I don't like how the caps break off. The lady is right about the modest price though.

After using Rowney and later Daler-Rowney for almost fifty years I find I have aged but in that time my paintings have stayed the same as the day I put the last touches to them. .Dorian Gray in reverse I think . If you are looking for a reliable paint this you can trust in Daler-Rowney Geogian and Artist's grade of colours.

Great company with a distinguished history. They supplied artist's colors to Constable and Turner!

I have some Georgian earth tones mostly for first layer and do not find that to be true at all. The closest consistency to it I can actually think of is Gamblin! W&N Winton Oil is definitely the worst student grade, it looks and paints like a disaster. Georgian is probably the cheapest around too at $7 for 75ml. Some of the best value for money on the planet.

+RiceBalls888 Oil paints by nature take a long time to dry and do not fully cure for 6 to 12 months. The drying time varies according to color, with some colors only needing 1-3 days to dry but others (like Zinc White) may need a couple weeks to become touch dry. If you need to speed the drying time up, consider using a medium that has alkyd resin and/or a solvent in it. This will generally speed up the drying
time by half. Avoid adding excessive amounts of linseed oil or stand oil which take longer to dry. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

Stay away from student grade paints, if you are serious about oil painting. Georgian paints are like water diluted acrylics.

+joe jack They're for STUDENTS, and for people who can't afford high-priced paints. Why don't you be quiet instead of acting like a bigot?
