- Hi friends@Claire's Jewellery I have introduced up-cycling old cutlery to my student projects. In this learning task we explore the origins of nickel silver and its properties. We seek to use sustainable practices and recycle discarded materials giving them a new life. I teach Jewellery Making in Design and Technology at an alternative school in Melbourne. My students have a range of experience and explanation videos promotes independence in learning.
Thank you for this tutorial, it shows exactly how to do it and how much hard work goes into making them. New subscriber here. ❤
thank you sooo much..love it
Annealing? Will make work easier.
A rubber Hammer would be preferable or even a old wooden hammer. When I create rings I only use wood or rubber tools
Hey Alex, with respect, I teach this subject and this is what works for me and my students. 🤷♀️
Why some say you can't use plated cutlery? It's obvious it can be done.
Doesn't your ball peen hammer damage the finish of the plated silver?
It has not been a problem. Hide hammers don’t seem to have the strength.
The best vid for this, thanks ❤
