- Street food in Turkey - In this video, I will take you on a street food adventure to explore some of the best and most insane food in Izmir, Turkey.
To start our Izmir street food tour in Turkey, we went to a restaurant selling tons of delicious food that will make your mouth water.
After that, we went to a couple of historic shops that for 3 generations have been making desserts and helva in Izmir, Turkey.
To continue our Izmir street food tour in Turkey, we went to a very local restaurant selling the best beans stew, and rice pudding I've ever eaten.
After that, we went to have an insanely spicy dish that we'd never tried before, Tire kofte.
We couldn't leave Izmir without trying one of the most iconic breakfast food, Boyoz.
To end our Izmir street food tour in Turkey, we had the privilege to witness the entire cooking preparation of the famous Kuyu Kokorec, underground roasted kokorec.

You went to very accurate and beautiful places. As someone living in Izmir, I like your choices. Spicy food choices may not have given the right flavor, but I'm glad you liked it anyway. I think street food reflects the spirit of the city. Izmir is one of Turkey's most multicultural cities and it increases the variety of these dishes. Hi, as you are living in Izmir that long and as I would like to visit Izmir for first time. What is area you recommend to stay? Is that hotels with good repetition? You tried many things from our country and you seem to enjoy these. Buon appetito. Maybe you discovered before but Çine çöp şiş and Çine köfte of Çine town of Aydın city is superb too. Giresun fasulye diblesi, hamsili pilav, hamsi kuşu, turşu kavurma are good too (from Eastern Black Sea region). You can find good seafood in Dalyan town of Çeşme, İzmir. And skewed livers, gum mastic pudding, gum mastic cookies too. Tokat kebabı are made from goat meat and animal needs special feeding and certain age. It is recommended too. Ezogelin soup, yüksük soup, yayla soup, tutmaç soup, toyga soup, düğün soup, tarhana soup, domates soup, ayran aşı soup are highly recommended if you haven't tried so far.
