Great book and great advice but more than half the video was unrealistic scenarios with high net worth advice. Not totally useless info because we all hope to be there one day but I’d focus more on scenarios with average/median household incomes. Less sexy conversation but more practical, imo

Illuminated Please define not being rich. I consider my 7 figure income puts me well above the economic average and I still agree with Sean Gallagher that the advice was geared toward high net worth clients. Illuminated, I believe you have a very narrow viewpoint and your comment/assumption proves as much.

I thought that the only people who saved money were the ones that had money. Didn't know that you had to be disciplined and focused. Now I'm almost 50 and just realizing that my is mine to save and handle properly not recklessly. I just asked a friend to teach me how to handle money. I get how triggered this podcast can appear to some. Im still in the under 150 club. But I don't see this podcast as useless I see it as inspiring and aspiring. If you see yiur future as being financially free, doesn't it make sense to start listening to those conversations now so you can make the necessary mental shift to level up?
Also if you're triggered by this, you could ne broke broken and comoletely devoid of vision. Sending love. Stand up just one more time and choose to fight for your future again. You can. Sending you love.

A ROTH doesn’t grow “tax deferred” as Lewis said, it grows “TAX FREE” (5 years after you open the ROTH, and if you’re over 59-1/2, you never have to pay. A traditional IRA grows “tax defered,” (you pay tax on the growth, after you’re 59-1/2).

One of the first steps to become rich is you need to do is have a vision and set goals. If your vision is to be independently wealthy within five years, you then have to take that and break it down into smaller time frames and goals, like a goal after one year, then after year two and so on.
