Hiking the Guadalupe Mountains near Carlsbad Caverns National Park - Pratt Cabin via McKittrick Canyon Trail Hike in the Guadalupe Mountains National Park located in Salt Flats, Texas
Hike through the the Guadalupe Mountain range, where we saw all sorts of trees, plants, and foliage found in North West Texas & South East New Mexico near Carlsbad Caverns.
This park includes the Guadalupe Peak, which is the highest point in Texas and is part of the Chihuahuan Desert, and a fossilized reef from the Permian.
The scenic McKittrick Canyon where we feature in this video is scattered full of desert plants and trees such as, hardy pines, junipers, bigtooth maples, cactus, and the occasional Texas madrone.
The entrance fee is $10.00 per person for visitors 16 years of age and older. This fee is good for 7 days. Guadalupe Mountains National Park is open year-round.
