- We have been asked whether Santa Claus is real. Further, how did he become such an important part of our Christmas celebration?
The answer is definitely YES! He not only existed but also influenced many of the good and loving traditions we celebrate at Christmas today. We begin our multi-part series of this revered saint and the miracles for which St. Nicholas is credited. We will also discuss how he moved from this gift-giver's humble roots to becoming the worldwide giver of love and gifts.

This is a nice starter video on the origin of Santa Claus. By the way, Saint Nicholas of Myra is just one of many influences for the modern day Santa Claus. There's also Odin from Germanic/Norse mythology, Father Christmas from English folklore, Sinterklaas from Dutch tradition, Belsnickle from Germany, etc. At any rate, keep up the good work.
