Didnt expect this route to look like an ordinary bus retrofitted with the usual Greyhound features. Oddly this is the best route to get to Riverside from San Diego after a Surfliner transfer. The Metrolink trains have dogcrap schedules unlike this 200 route. Does this route seriously not stop at the Anaheim train station though??
It passes nearby on Katella av but going eastbound it hops on the 57 freeway then east on Lincoln then south on Tustin to the village at orange but westbound it passes by but doesn’t stop at ARTIC
Amazing ride along as usual! It was weird to see a Bravo! bus on Katella Ave at around the 5:49 mark and it was interesting for RTA to use automated voice announcements unlike OCTA or Metro. It was also interesting to see the San Bernardino Transit Center, such a nice place!
Minutes before the arrival of RTA 200, there was two Bravo buses passing by with the words “training bus” on the head sign. It must be one of them on Katella that caused a minor holdup. The San Bernardino Transit Center will be in a featured in a future episode. The Gillig BRT Plus is a comfortable ride. Thank you for watching.
Wow it was a long trip !!!! Almost two hours, it was very nice to know San Berdardino Transit Center! At the begining of the route i saw two Octa Buses. It was a nice video !! Also i saw a lot of Omnitrans buses in your video!!! I understand that Omnitrans operated in San Berdarnino. 👍✌😎
OmniTrans operates solely in San Bernardino County with some routes ending in Riverside and LA Counties. The transit center is a modern gem of the Inland Empire and will be featured in an episode later this year. Thank you for watching.
Our team here at the network welcomes kind warm words from viewers like you. It’s a great deal to travel between three counties and 50+ miles for only $3.50. Thank you for watching.
I wish LA Metro and Foothill transit would have the same ambitious plan to explore and expand new local/ express routes like this. I realized that LACMTA and Foothill do not really like to introduce new routes and explore new opportunities, whereas the RTA and Omnitrans have launched a few new express routes. It makes people cannot really reply on bus transit for long and intercounty commutes besides the Metrolink.
We appreciate your observations with transportation options in the SoCal areas, more specifically in the the eastern corridor sections. Transportation was a better alternative when it was under one banner, one system, one pass for all of SoCal. State Senator Alan Robbins and Assemblymember Richard Katz, are the politicians responsible with their bill that broke up the RTD in the 1980/90s. Richard Katz was also a big proponent of seceding San Fernando Valley away from Los Angeles in 2002. The current politicians are the ones responsible for what the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino currently operates. If the citizens of these counties want change for one system, they should write, call or visit their local politicians or vote them out. We firmly believe that transportation does not end at a county line. With the successes of inter-county express routes. There might be an open-minded approach with the leaders of these transit agencies. Thank you for commenting and supporting all things transit.
@@TheMetropolitanNetwork I though the MTA is responsible for it, even though most of their operation funding is approved by the state and local government and politicians. Operating one system for the entire SoCal region sounds good, but in reality it could be difficult for the transit agencies to manage it.
We can see it might be difficult for Transit Headquarters to manage the whole SoCal region. HQ could delegate certain responsibilities to regional divisions along with autonomous powers with yearly budgets, transportation planning and authority for their respective county but keep it under one banner. We will definitely see. Thank you for the comment.
@TheMetropolitanNetwork I believe it was L.A. County Supervisor Pete Schabarum who was responsible for the formation of Foothill Transit in the San Gabriel Valley in the 1980s.
Amazing! The long awaited route is finally here! RTA Line 200! Is there any possible way to pay in another method besides cash like a mobile app? So the fare is still $3.50 for students hmm a bit to expensive but worth riding. They don’t accept Tap do they? Do these buses provide USB ports because maybe I can film line 200 but since the route is a bit long my phone (camera) will die lol
Metro Fan’s Productions They recently launched mobile payments via the Token Transit app, if you noticed on the farebox there’s an area where you can put your phone onto it using NFC and it’ll scan your mobile app. As for TAP, I’m not sure if they accept it
That is a lot of requests. We had a bunch of requests from other people and when we post up the episode they do not comment. For OmniTrans sbX, check out YT channel “CT Journey Explorer Hub User Line 333” as that crew just recorded that line last month. For Metro Silver lines, check out YT channels “SoCalTransit Studios and Ruben Aparcio”. The silver line and Metro Rapid 720 is on our agenda for an unedited full ride-a-long in the future. Thanks for watching and supporting transit.
I'm enjoying the ride thank you.
More to come to this season. As lucky number 161 is on the horizon.

This must be Downtown Riverside Ca
1:25:26 The stop announcer drank a lot of coffee that day.
These automated stop announcements take the human element away, sign of the times. Thank you for watching this important east/west line.
