Not gonna lie this makes me a little bit jealous bc drama school seems pretty cool
Aww I’m loving it so far! I’m glad to give an insight haha
That garden looks like such a great place study when the suns out! Do you go often?
It’s so lovely! Yes we go out there most days because it’s part of the “non-class” space :)
@@NooStenningVideos Envious!
I've only started getting into dancing, singing in the past 3-4 years (I'm 28) and I don't like quite a lot of musicals, but the ones I do like I LOVE (Hamilton, Greatest Showman are a couple). Would I make a good fit for this course?
This course is for those looking to pursue a career in musical theatre and acting- it requires a fair amount of prior experience however there are many courses that might suit someone just getting into it who hasn’t experienced exploring too many shows or performance opportunities :)
I'm starting on acting cdt next month!! Any tips? Im so scared
Same… I’m coming to Central in September and I don’t know what to expect 😭😭😭
@@gunthingduck same dw, what course r u on??
@@KatieWilson-lt4vm I’m doing Contemporary performance practice DATE
@@gunthingduck so so cool
If a job in voice acting or screen acting came up - are u interested? Or do u just like theatre? ☺️
100%! I’d love to do all of those x
What exactly is a movement class? What do you do?
It’s essentially a coordination type class, we do moves similar to dance but no particular style and not trying to make it look good. Focus is on being in tune with the body, trust, momentum etc - at helps inform acting choices for example :)
Hii I have a Bath question sorry if it's a bit irrelevant but im going to be a fresher this year so is it worth getting the city events wristband?
No that’s totally fine! I would personally say no, most people get the campus one (obviously don’t know what will and won’t be open this year) but you have 3 years to go to town it’s much easier to stay on campus for freshers! It does depend what your flat gets there’s no way of knowing until you ask them, but the Uni puts on great day and night events so I would get that one not just the basic club ones x
@@NooStenningVideos this helps so much! Thank you x
do you need to be a dancer to apply for musical theatre?
Musical Theatre does involve dance so you will train in it and need to - however if you’re a strong singer and actor and have potential it’s definitely possible, strong movement skills can be a great foundation
how was the audition to join the school ?
like I guess you already had some skills, you can't arrived from nowhere can you ?
The audition is based on ability in Singing, Dance and Acting - you do various things for each and there’s an interview/written element
So yes people applying have experience of those already at this stage of training :) hope that helped!
