Absolutely. But don’t stack branches too high they tangle too much. It’s a balance of proximity and separation to branches from tangling but keeping foot path clear of tripping hazards but have enough material close by because this thing chews through it all really fast. Thanks for watching. Have a great day
Still very happy. We are serval months into ownership and about 75 run hours. I may have dulled the blades a bit with some branches that had mud on them. Definitely avoid dirt if you can. I find it chips best if you chip the day you cut. The wood gets harder as it dries. In the next few weeks I will have a big chipping work load and will post an evaluation. I’m still on my first set of blades. Not sure how many hours you should get before resharpening or replacement. I will need to measure to get length but it’s about 10ft. We don’t currently live on the property and I won’t be out there for at least a week due to weather. I’ll comment on measurements when I go out there and I will film a review update. Thanks for watching and commenting. (Update. - website says specifically NOT to sharpen, only replace)
9.5-10ft long. I didn’t have my tape measure but my shoe is 12” and I carefully stepped it off. That’s from end of hitch to safety bar. Raising the hitch bar shortened by about 2ft as the chipper Shute then becomes the farthest point from the rear. Hope that helps
@@ahbuildingafarm thanks for your response. I've got a 7x18 utility/equipment trailer with side rails like a landscaping trailer. Is basically a large landscaping trailer with 7k axles. Wondering if I can fit the chipper sideways at the front of the trailer so it will pack up with some other equipment.
I’ll measure more precisely and measure with the input Shute and output Shute open to see if that makes it small enough. Would you wheel it in with a UTV or use your Skidsteer and lift with pallet forks? It weighs 900 lbs so you probably cannot hand push it up a trailer ramp unless you are really strong. Or use a block and tackle for mechanical advantage
I’ve only seen them for sale at Home Depot. I don’t know if they are sold anywhere else. We paid $3,599 on sale with delivery to Home Depot. I think this model is now $3999. Thanks for commenting and watching
I do have another video where it’s not sped up that is posted now. And my wife wanted to chip some so I have a video coming in a few days where some is real time and some is sped up doing some small and big logs. It continues to do a good job and we have chipped a lot more And did some 5 to 7 inch logs. It’s a bit slower on those but not by much. Thanks for watching and please subscribe
What I learned is to get your wood a LOT closer to the mouth of the chipper. Or, take 4 steps to load each piece.

Are you still happy with it? How long is that unit from the hitch to the rear?
