- So besides a crazy travel junkie, I am a big foodie especially a Street Food lover. So wherever new place I visit, I make sure to taste some local delicacies and this time I have come on the streets of Imphal to discover some unique and Best Street Food in Manipur, North East India.
In this Manipur food vlog, though I could not take full Imphal Food Tour, but yes I was fortunate to find some traditional Manipur food and special Street Food in Manipur like chicken samosa. I feel very happy to share this Manipur food vlog with you today. Hope you would like it :)

@@honiyadakpe9111 yes..pls enjoy ...I think lockdown is going on right now in manipur but if you visit again post pandemic - pls don't forget to try OK hotel MG Avenue chicken thali & traditional manipuri thali at luxmi hotel & panthoibi hotel - both hotels at Wahengbam leikai...I think they might be closed right now ..but if you ever visit again..pls try them out...

First You eat Chicken Samosa, its a recent new food.
2nd You eat Bora (Pakora) and Singju (Salad or mixture) is an indegenous food.
At last you eat CHASUBI (not paknam) a type of Roti made with rice flour with chinese chives, chilli, onion, fermented fish, etc (its a local made from Kakching) not in others parts of Manipur..

Bora mein added Chinese chives (maroi)which is the herbs used most in cooking and singju mein hai perilla seeds roasted and powdered the dark colour it has many variation even made with Wai wai noodles and mimi noodles etc.

Actually it's not dried fish it's fermented fish called ngari the soul of manipuri 🥰
And it's not exactly a paknam it's called chasubi similar to paknam an indigenous food of kakching peoples . Sending lots of love 💘 you're so cute 😍

That's not a main dish its just a street food snack. The real taste is in our main dishes that we have to eat at our home. You can find it at some restaurent. If you invade to local family than you can experience some of it, So many dishes are there for manipuri cuisine.

Welcome to Manipur. That unknonw place where you got 'paknam' is near Kakching Lamkhai.
Btw, would appreciate if the video is in English or atleast English subtitles thereof. To overwhelmingly majority of us here in Manipur, Hindi is Latin to us. Tough. Only few people in the market i.e. Imphal areas know some Hindi.

As usual I enjoyed it Very down to earth . The samosas looked good but I would have been starving as I don’t touch poultry but seeing you relish it that would have filled me up
The pakoras looked unappealing but the taste I don’t know
However you were appealing and so was your blog AS EXPECTED FROM YOU
Just a little correction here: That wasn't pakora.It's 'Bora'.The only similarity here is that both are made of gram flour and are deep fried.Bora might not look unappealing but it's actually really good and is vegetarian friendly as it's made with vegetables only.
The pakoras aka bora and singju is my favourite.Vegetarian can also have it. Please try if ever you get a chance. Thank you so much for watching.😊
