Totally! You can really get such soft and gradual blends, and if you're using smooth papers it really is a must to use solvent because you are already limited on layers. :)

Thank you so much for such a detailed lesson. I only have a 24-piece student-grade set from Tombow. What extra colors would you recommend buying? I find that some colors like purple are quite hard to mix.

FAber-Castell. The A is long in German. I am German. This is how it is pronounced. 😻
