    … I waited 18 months on a wait list and understood it would be at MSRP. They finally call and say it will be $49,xxx +$20,000 market adjustment. Almost $70k…
    I laughed, came home, and ordered a Tesla Model Y. $47k after tax credit, and I love it so far.
    My Toyota dealership converted a life-long Toyota buyer to a Tesla fan.

      @@executivecallahan1599 a bucket of bolts is exactly what Toyota has become. Gone is the old reliability they were once know for. My 2013 Lexus gs transmission started going out even though I was babying it.

      @dohc1974 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@executivecallahan1599 The transmission on my Lexus is sealed, there isn’t a drain plug or fill location. You literally need to take the transmission off the car, take it apart to get the old fluid out, then pour in new fluid and seal the transmission up. Do you have any idea how much money a job like that would take? It would cost thousands. This is done on purpose to break transmissions and make the customer pay.

    Toyota you guys see how much people want this vehicle. Plug in hybrids are so much better for most people than electric cars. You get 30 or 40 miles on a charge and you don't have to worry about range anxiety because you still have a gas engine when you need it most like in really cold winters and on road trips. Please ramp up production and give us more plug in hybrids. We could use a plug in camry, highlander, tacoma, and pretty much every other model you sell!

    On the MSN article for this Kur Kat ask if this is a copy of the Chevy Volt from 13 years ago. No, it isn't this a Rear-Wheel-Drive vehicle that doesn't have the same structural defects a FWD car does. And since it is a hybrid with just an electric motor which I believe is powered by the gas engine there is no need for a battery which is the main reason as to why Tesla catch on fire or blow up. (A structural defect around it actually.)

I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be willing to pay extra for power folding mirrors! Also, please just bring the Venza Prime over stateside already! And offer more color options for the current Rav4 Prime! Cavalry Blue would certainly be very nice on a Rav4 Prime!

      cost, because anything with more technology cost more to fix. Higher insurance, higher repair cost. Toyota knows this, this is why you buy a toyota over Mercedes. Yes The Mercedes will have all the cool stuff you want, but when it needs to be repaired, then it will cost enormous amount of money. One mercedes light will cost you $7G, and your insurance will pass the cost on to you. If you dont need it, fold the mirrors yourself. Civic took away this camera for lane changes, i am sure the camera alone is 2grand

      @@bjsimon802 i live in Europe and all my Toyotas (even my tiny 1999 Starlet Glanza - JDM) came with electronic folding mirrors. Zero failures. 100% reliable and very useful feature.

      @bjsimon802 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ryufrank In europe you pay more for cars, well those cost are coming higher here. But there use to be almost 20G difference for certain model, those gaps are getting closer. But also americans are about cost savings, this is why base model are popular. Some of those sensor like tire sensors cost $10 to $17 to program. They know if somebody wants more premium features they will buy a lexus. The next car above the Rav4 is the Venza which is more premium, and then the Lexus NX. I am sure those features will come standard, but toyota likes to make it simple. Less moving parts, less breaking. I love technology, and I love germany cars innovation. But I can't imagine paying the costs related to these cars. I work with Physicians who keep them less than 5 years, sometimes less than 2 years.
