Pink Bleach I mean yes, theres rides with way longer wait times *Cough* *Cough* King kong's ride in Universal Orlando, holly crap it was the longest friking line ever, it took about 2 hours and 40 minutes and it was so lame, but back to my point.. the line for the Kraken wasnt terrible, it was about 48 minutes for us to get to the actual ride but we werent exposed to the sun like in other lines like in disney, but now i dont know how long it will be extended for since they have to have cleaning measures for all the vr headsets plus all the checking when in reality many people may get motion sick and take it off, it was a good ride but now i hope the waiting extent wont make the line that much more painful

I agree.. Sea world did get a hit with very little visitors coming in... however I see now how they just want to focus on thrill rides other than water shows.
TheTimTracker there is a vr coaster in Alton towers in the U.K. They called it galatica after they rebranded but it was called air before that. Much better as a standard coaster.
This ride looks very cool! Sure, you can't see the park while you're on it, but I like that. It adds to the whole experience the underwater adventure. The visuals were awesome, but one question: if you have to take off your prescription glasses, how are you supposed to SEE anything???
i used to love going on Roller coasters now i love watching good film POV of these rides, i am a person who needs a large power wheelchair to get around and i can do most things but these kinds of rides are beyond me. i have MS and i am also an amputee ( i was saddened to learn that being a leg amputee even if otherwise fit would make most coasters at of bound) SO now i rely on you guys. i waiting for the day we get better access to pov and simualtors so more disabled can trully enjoy the fun of these kinds of rides. thank you-keep on having fun for us
The graphics were able to be this good because it’s not a game, it’s not rendering anything in real time, all it is is a 360° video, stuff like this could not be rendered in real time on a phone, these are RTX level graphics
Devin Shillington because kraken was just a normal rollercoaster when they introduced it. It wasn't getting enough visitors so they added the VR headsets.
No I wouldn't think that will be good just cause seeing maybe a roller coaster in pandora will be strange because it doesn't make it feel like your in pandora cuz when your in the line in pandora your supposed feel like your in the movie and not see a roller coaster ((this is just my opinion))

Great vid. I've ridden the VR on Demon at Six flags great america and it was pretty fun. How bad were operations on Kraken. Usually with VR coasters they are known to have bad operation times.
yeah, they not doing it anymore now. they had it on Acrophobia too, briefly. now it's being removed from it too. very time consuming. but, the new Battle for Metropolis is almost same as Spider Man at Island of Adventures. other parks catching up to the animatronics over pulse pounding.
Tony P Oh yeah, I forgot about Acrophobia's VR. They used to have VR on Giant Drop at Six flags great america. Also, I tried Justice League at Six flags great america and it's pretty fun. One of my favorite dark rides.
I was able to do the ride in VR and it was so amazing!! However, the VR element was scrapped because of the long delay between shifts of the ride and sanitizing the headsets. I hope that the VR feature makes a comeback one day or even better, maybe goes on manta!
As cool as the concept is, I think I will pass on this one. I get so motion sick if I can't physically see where I'm going, so if I felt the need to ride I would just leave the VR off 😅🙈
heyjillian It would be a good idea to try it at least once, i dont think that you're forced to wear it the whole time since people like you hate motion sickness, i have been in the kraken myself about 20 times and i feel like the looks are just alright, it doesnt get to very high falls or anything too crazy but its still good and i feel like the Vr will make it so sick and very cool to feel inside a world under water, i'm going to Orlando this september and i hope i enjoy myself on this ride.
heyjillian I rode this ride and had to take the VR off since I got so much motion sickness. I puked all over the VR and it took them a while to clean it up. The people in line to get on the ride after me were so pissed off and started yelling at me.
Aww, sorry you got sick on the ride. :( I rode it last week and was too got motion sickness(I never got sick on roller coasters) because of the VR. Thankfully, I didn't barf so I got lucky(I had to take deep breathes and close my eyes since I wasn't wearing my glasses which it may have contributed the sickness and the VR headset crushing my head didn't help either) but next time, I'll ride without the VR. Hope you got better. *hugs* I'm glad I tried it but riding coasters with VR(especially if you have poor eye vision that is near sighted) is not for me. Thank goodness for TH-cam so we can all watch it without getting motion sickness. XD

SeaWorld is packed. Since SeaWorld has been focusing more on ride entertainment then aquatic shows. What makes u think they are desperate?
I agree.. Sea world did get a hit with very little visitors coming in... however I see now how they just want to focus on thrill rides other than water shows.

It was a little disorienting, but for the most part just felt like a screen based ride.
TheTimTracker there is a vr coaster in Alton towers in the U.K. They called it galatica after they rebranded but it was called air before that. Much better as a standard coaster.
Agreed - Air (Galactica) would have been better standard. The graphics of Kraken look waayyyyy better than those on Galactica.

This ride looks very cool! Sure, you can't see the park while you're on it, but I like that. It adds to the whole experience the underwater adventure. The visuals were awesome, but one question: if you have to take off your prescription glasses, how are you supposed to SEE anything???
i used to love going on Roller coasters now i love watching good film POV of these rides, i am a person who needs a large power wheelchair to get around and i can do most things but these kinds of rides are beyond me. i have MS and i am also an amputee ( i was saddened to learn that being a leg amputee even if otherwise fit would make most coasters at of bound) SO now i rely on you guys. i waiting for the day we get better access to pov and simualtors so more disabled can trully enjoy the fun of these kinds of rides. thank you-keep on having fun for us

This ride looked very good, very realistic, the graphics were very good indeed....
The graphics were able to be this good because it’s not a game, it’s not rendering anything in real time, all it is is a 360° video, stuff like this could not be rendered in real time on a phone, these are RTX level graphics

Devin Shillington because kraken was just a normal rollercoaster when they introduced it. It wasn't getting enough visitors so they added the VR headsets.

No I wouldn't think that will be good just cause seeing maybe a roller coaster in pandora will be strange because it doesn't make it feel like your in pandora cuz when your in the line in pandora your supposed feel like your in the movie and not see a roller coaster ((this is just my opinion))

Six Flags uses VR, but we found out that Sea World synchronizes the video to where you are on the track. Six Flags just pushes play.
I remember seeing Europa Park in Germany does this, but I believe they charge extra!

Great vid. I've ridden the VR on Demon at Six flags great america and it was pretty fun. How bad were operations on Kraken. Usually with VR coasters they are known to have bad operation times.
Patrick Kim yep. 6 flags in Georgia was experiencing 3-4 hr wait times on 1 of the coasters here. normal time roughly an hour.
Tony P Wow, Dare Devil Dive was really that long, on Demon it was around 60 to 90 min.
yeah, they not doing it anymore now. they had it on Acrophobia too, briefly. now it's being removed from it too. very time consuming. but, the new Battle for Metropolis is almost same as Spider Man at Island of Adventures. other parks catching up to the animatronics over pulse pounding.
Tony P Oh yeah, I forgot about Acrophobia's VR. They used to have VR on Giant Drop at Six flags great america. Also, I tried Justice League at Six flags great america and it's pretty fun. One of my favorite dark rides.
problem is its same ride at each park that has it. cool ride though.
I was able to do the ride in VR and it was so amazing!! However, the VR element was scrapped because of the long delay between shifts of the ride and sanitizing the headsets. I hope that the VR feature makes a comeback one day or even better, maybe goes on manta!

As cool as the concept is, I think I will pass on this one. I get so motion sick if I can't physically see where I'm going, so if I felt the need to ride I would just leave the VR off 😅🙈
heyjillian It would be a good idea to try it at least once, i dont think that you're forced to wear it the whole time since people like you hate motion sickness, i have been in the kraken myself about 20 times and i feel like the looks are just alright, it doesnt get to very high falls or anything too crazy but its still good and i feel like the Vr will make it so sick and very cool to feel inside a world under water, i'm going to Orlando this september and i hope i enjoy myself on this ride.
heyjillian I rode this ride and had to take the VR off since I got so much motion sickness. I puked all over the VR and it took them a while to clean it up. The people in line to get on the ride after me were so pissed off and started yelling at me.
Aww, sorry you got sick on the ride. :( I rode it last week and was too got motion sickness(I never got sick on roller coasters) because of the VR. Thankfully, I didn't barf so I got lucky(I had to take deep breathes and close my eyes since I wasn't wearing my glasses which it may have contributed the sickness and the VR headset crushing my head didn't help either) but next time, I'll ride without the VR. Hope you got better. *hugs*
I'm glad I tried it but riding coasters with VR(especially if you have poor eye vision that is near sighted) is not for me. Thank goodness for TH-cam so we can all watch it without getting motion sickness. XD
heyjillian try ginger pills i forget where my mom gets them but when we went to Disney they saved my dad and brothers so much (they do take 30 minutes to set in so be warned)
