My new favorite thing to do every week is read these timestamp posts before I watch the actual podcast and wonder how the fuck they manage to get from each of these topics to the next 🤣

I know it sounds dramatic when people say that someone "saved their life" (cut to me in middle school saying that My Chemical Romance saved my life), but you guys have really been a shining light during some of my darkest times. Lately I've been experiencing the worst depressive episode of my life. My grandfather who was more of a dad to me than my actual dad passed away, I broke up with my boyfriend of three years, and I lost my job of seven years, all in the same month. And that was all while having PTSD night terrors every night due to the time of year, as well as having intense dysphoria even after years of surgery and hormones (btw I'm trans). I have had basically no motivation to do anything and have had times where my intrusive thoughts get so bad that I just break down. In some of those hard times, I just zone out and listen to my favorite podcast. You guys are just so upbeat and positive and never fail to make me laugh. I've been following your careers since the beginning when I was just a kid, and your particular brand of relatable but poignant humor has always resonated with me deeply. Turning on a podcast to distract my negative thoughts doesnt take too much of my small supply of motivation, but the reward is far greater. Even when I cant get out of bed, listening to you guys ramble about the funniest and most random stuff always puts a smile on my face, and the fact that I'm actually smiling and laughing is always a welcome surprise. Mamrie and Grace, you guys dont even realize how much you help people with the content you create. You've helped me get out of bed on days I've felt hopeless, you've given me something to look forward to when nothing seems exciting anymore, and you've given me a slice of happiness that is essential to my drive to keep fighting against my negative thoughts. Again, it sounds dramatic, but I don't know if I'd have made it this far without my "comfort podcast" that calms me down and makes me feel like I'm catching up with old friends. Thank y'all so much. You really are amazing people.

My dad and I in our infinite wisdom and 1 athletic attempt per year decided to go walking on a roller coaster of a hike on the hottest summer recorded in like 1/2 a century like 5 years ago. It's a hike full of ups, downs, twists and turns and we were out of commission just basking in air con for 2 weeks straight! It's a miracle we didn't heat stroke.

Gore in movies used to absolutely make me SICK, I could never even watch someone getting injected with a needle. I went to school for my Makeup Artistry Diploma and we did a lot of special FX and it really helped crush that fear of gore for me! To see where it actually comes from, how it's made. Some movies will still gross me out completely, but I can at least watch now. So funny how that works!
