    Do you bunny hop off a jump? lean back? weight stays middle? Let me know in the comments to help me improve 👇🏽

      @vcmtbpinoyito 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TrailDad that will depend on the jump, but most of the the time me i pump and try to stay in the middle so i could adjust to what the landing requires, coz if you way to far back there nothing really room to move you weight.

      Looks like a lot of fun! I'm working up to bigger features and building confidence as well and every jump is a little different and that'll determine the best way to hit it.
      Generally if the launch is a straight ramp with no lip to "kick" you, you can usually roll off with a little speed while maintaining a neutral position and be fine. If there is a "kick" at the end, the ramp curves upwards, it'll launch you into more of an arc - this is where you'll need to be able to adjust your body position in the air for the landing so you'll definitely want to lean back a little when leaving the lip but level out in the air by pushing the bike away from you. Pumping the bike into jumps in general will get you a lot more air.
      There's a good amount of nuance and it all comes down to muscle memory and practice!

    I rode those hills in high school on bmx bikes. You had the Lime Ridge dirt jumps, and then the Mach 1 mtb trails.

    • @Eridebrodad
      @Eridebrodad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I heard that the place was built by bmx riders. Kinda sad how they're closing a lot of the trails recently

    When I first moved to Clayton, nobody rode Lime Ridge. Surprised to see so many videos of the place.

      probably coz of the lockdown and the trails being perfect for beginners looking to improve their skills. the flowy trails here are so nice

    I’ve ridden Thorn Alley about 10 times now and have gotten a flat three times.

    • @Eridebrodad
      @Eridebrodad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I must be really lucky, I've never had a flat there. What type of flats did you get

    • @iwantmymtb8132
      @iwantmymtb8132 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TrailDad make that four now. I got another flat yesterday on my new ride. All times I hit a sharp, jagged rock that puts a dent on my rims.

    • @AyyyJayyyEss
      @AyyyJayyyEss 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taylorbrost I run tubeless... One thing I forgot to mention is I'm a beginner/intermediate rider. But a friend who I consider as an expert rider got a flat on his only time there. But so far, I haven't had a flat since... so progress I guess.

    • @iwantmymtb8132
      @iwantmymtb8132 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taylorbrost Yeah I guess it's just a matter of picking the right lines. I had a Stache with 3.0 Bontrager tires and that too got a flat. I love monster trucking rocks but I gotta avoid sharp rocks at not-so-slow speeds. I'm learning :)
